I enjoy Neiderman, "Immortals" was a good read,"The Baby Squad" had a good premise but was hit or miss, and I'm sure he's most noted for "The Devil Advocate".

All good reads.

Immortals by Andrew Neiderman The Baby Squad by Andrew Neiderman The Devil's Advocate by Andrew Neiderman

He's a very under-rated author. Playmates was made into a film called The Maddening.

He's very good, Debby. You won't be disappointed. Playmates is his best, IMO.

The only one of his that I've read has been Judgement Day Judgement Day by Andrew Neiderman and it felt like eating bad fast food. It was really cheesy and had the feel of a Lifetime movie meets an episode of Law and Order. It was disappointing because I really enjoyed the movie in the 1980s based of his book called Pin. Did I happen to hit upon a clunker of his or is his writing hit and miss?

I would say hit or miss sums up this author. His prose are not as sharp as many, he reminds me a bit of Graham Masterton. (Style wise)

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) I read a lot of Andrew Neiderman when I was a teenager and drawn to more cheesy plots and prose. I don't think he'd hold up as well for me now. I read Judgement Day myself last year and it was hard to get into with the writing but slowly sucked me in. I still need to read Devil's Advocate, I did like the movie.

I avoid anything he does as a ghostwriter for VC Andrews, find his stuff there terrible.

Sometimes his writing falters but sometimes it's impressive enough - he wins on his twisted and unique horror plots.

I will say Brainchild was excellent, at least from my memory. I read it several times.
