Figured we needed a good place to share dumb quizzes and stuff that we find online.

Thanks to StumbleUpon..I found this quiz..go see what your etiquette is around the world!

http://www.stumbleupon.com/toolbar/#u...

Mine was a 5 out of 11..apparently mine is "Not bad! I need to "learn a little more etiquette and I'll be ready to take on the world!"

message 2: by Lynnie (new)

Lynnie I got 5/11 too.. that was hard! very interesting though.

it was so interesting! Some of the stuff I was really surprised at! Isn't it interesting how cultures are so different?

message 4: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) I got a 7! Learning about different cultures fascinates me. =)

message 5: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Ah, I got 4/11... It told me to stay in my own country. lol.

haha the comments that it gives at the end are kind of humorous. I wonder what it would say if you got all of them wrong.

lol, I had to try that. All it says is to stay in your own country, same as what I got. :-p

Mandee (amandalinajanel) | 378 comments I got an 8! I'm like Kelsey though...and I'm a foodie, so I had an advantage.
I missed the Spanish one, and (horror) the English one. I thought that was supposed to be a funny answer, but whoops...it was serious. And the Polish one was the other question I missed. It said 'Impressive! You are ready for world travel!'

The funny thing is if I were quizzed on American etiquette I'd have probably gotten a worse score!
: P

message 9: by Anna (new)

Anna Shumaker (annashu) I got 8/11, said I was ready for world travel. Like Mandee and Kelsey though I also like knowing about other cultures, I'm also a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain so I've probably picked up some things from him.

message 10: by Rafaela (new)

Rafaela | 136 comments I got 8 too.
But, what's that about the debris/trash in Spain?? Is that serious?

Me too!

message 12: by R (new)

R (feste) I got 10, mostly guessed my way through. The one I got wrong was the only one I was sure I knew the answer to! My mother is Chinese, and she's always told me to finish all the food on my plate...

"I'm also a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain so I've probably picked up some things from him."
I watch a fair amount of Gordon Ramsay and all I've learnt is that he's Scottish and swears at the drop of a hat!

message 13: by Mykee (new)

Mykee Tan (chineseveganboy) | 28 comments I got 4! What the hell is a right-handed fork anyway? Haha. It told me to stay in my own country!

message 14: by raiN (last edited May 16, 2009 09:55PM) (new)

raiN (iamrain) | 17 comments i got 5! haha.
It was tricky! I mean, the world could have some strange beliefs of some sort. I can't believe I fell for the "right-handed fork"!!! hahah. ^_^

Sarah (Mood Reader) (bookworm1887) 9/11 I'm ready to travel the world!

Jamie, can we post other links here to other quizzes?

message 16: by Sara (new)

Sara I got 8/11

Yeah..for sure Sarah!

Sarah (Mood Reader) (bookworm1887) How about I list a link to a quiz for every week?

Sounds good to me! And everyone else..feel free to also post links to quizzes!

message 20: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) I got a 7/11 Not bad...did you know it's bad not to accept food put on your plate in Vietnam? I've been there and if they put it on your plate you have to try it. Plus, they use community chopsticks too, so you can't have germaphobia! They'll feed you right from their own chopsticks sometimes....it was an interesting experience.

Sarah (Mood Reader) (bookworm1887) MY RESPONSE FOR THE WATER COLOR TEST!

You are intensely alive and very passionate.
You are optimistic about the world and about people.

You feel very connected to others, and you tend to be a harmonizing force.
You are vibrant and receptive. You are ready for whatever the world has to offer you.

message 24: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) Watercolor test response!

You Are Highly Inspiring

You believe that your life has a higher purpose, and you do all you can to achieve it.
You are wise, and a lot of your wisdom comes from self discipline.

You try to live as moderately and modestly as possible.
You make room for rational, small indulgences... while living as ethically as you can.

Sarah (Mood Reader) (bookworm1887) So Jamie.. I sort of changed my mind about posting links to quizzes. I started to use Stumble Upon and it has brought me some fun quizzes so if I post a lot that is why.

Here is a Hello Kitty stress test : http://www.sanriotown.com/psycho/psyc...

message 26: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) Watercolor Test:
You are Highly Expressive
You are dramatic, expressive, and even a bit temperamental.
You are artistic and creative. You're always dabbling in something.

You are very self-aware and introspective. You understand yourself well.
You are on a constant journey in life, and you change frequently. You're a shapeshifter of sorts.

Yusra Zainab Laghari (yusrazainab) | 20 comments Watercolor test:

You Are Highly Spiritual

You may not have found the meaning of life, but you try to approach it with as much optimism as possible.
You are always enthusiastic and grateful for every day you have.

You are cheerful and energetic. You are a do-gooder who likes to keep busy.
You are outgoing and carefree. You embrace life to the fullest.

message 28: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (maraudingstevie) Watercolor Test:
You Are Highly Colorful
You are intensely alive and very passionate.
You are optimistic about the world and about people.

You feel very connected to others, and you tend to be a harmonizing force.
You are vibrant and receptive. You are ready for whatever the world has to offer you.

Hm. I think that's right... mentally, at least. :]

message 29: by Anna (new)

Anna Shumaker (annashu) According to the Big 5 test I am unflappable, aesthetic, and solitary. I agree and I'm pretty sure most people who know me would too.

message 30: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I am understanding, passionate, aesthetic, warm, tender, empathetic, friendly, accessible, innovative and intellectual.

It's amazing how accurate some of this is! Especially this:
"You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
"

With a major in English and a minor in Theatre I'd say that's pretty accurate!

message 31: by Kelly A. (new)

Kelly A. | 499 comments Mine was mostly spot on, except for the fact that it said I am usually the most outgoing person in a crowd. Haha no way!
I actually found Dr. Phil's test to be more accurate :)

message 32: by Aqsa (new)

Aqsa actually i agree with almost all the things said about me...

message 33: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Wow. This was quite accurate. Several of the areas mentioned talk about me being the kind of person who loves domestic things and reading. This was really interesting. I was kind of worried though because I really don't like those scale tests because I feel like my answers often need some sort of explanation, like "I don't feel X all the time, but when I do, it's intense."

message 34: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (sugardustedbooks) My top 10 traits - Understanding, passionate, stressed out, volatile, aesthetic, tender, empathetic, emotional, original, and curious.

Haha crazy how accurate it is.

message 35: by MarielaBlu (new)

MarielaBlu (queenscove) I got a 4 too! And it told me to stay in my own country!! LOL
