I haven't been able to narrow it down to one book or even three. I can, however narrow things down to my three favorite authors: Dean Koontz,Dan Chaon and Dan Brown (clearly if a person's first name starts with D - they are awesome). I can re-read some of their books over and over. Here are some examples:

"The Stand" by Stephen King, "Intensity" and "Watchers" by Dean Koontz and "See Jane Run" by Joy Fielding are among my favorites. Can't choose just one!!

You better believe it! :-) You should give those Dan's a try. I am currently reading Dan Brown's newest Inferno

I saw the movie. I hope to get around to reading the book someday. I have a t-shirt that reads:
CLOWNS KILL PEOPLE

and the rest are in no particular order.

The Hobbit and LoTRs probably influenced me the most. I've most have read/listened to them 50-60 times...which of course means I had no social life in high school.

Some of the best people I've met were in books!

Well said, Dustin.
Seriously, Normal People scare me and I have found so many like-minded people who can think differently here on goodreads. Thank Goodness! I was beginning to think everyone was deluded in their head. If you are on Facebook you can be my friend, just make sure I know you are because I only add people that I actually know on Facebook. I keep me Facebook Friends at 200 or less. www.facebook.com/dustpancrazy

not sure if I ever told you this- but you actually made me really comfortable about being a member of gr- i'm not on facebook and am not big on social media sites but when I heard about gr I decided to give it a try because I love books
basically I thought i'd get some book recommendations and join a book club and keep my interaction to a minimum. then I found myself commenting about how the quiz for the book Lightning said I got 0 questions right-this irritated me because not only did I get some questions right but that is one of my fave books so of course I had to leave a comment lol
basically you recognized only a koontz fan would get upset about a book quiz score and invited me to koontzland and soon after dare to dream
everyone was so quirky and friendly that I found myself checking into gr regularly to say hi and to talk about books and other interesting topics.
I have basically become addicted to gr ever since and it's your fault ;)
