I haven't been able to narrow it down to one book or even three. I can, however narrow things down to my three favorite authors: Dean Koontz,Dan Chaon and Dan Brown (clearly if a person's first name starts with D - they are awesome). I can re-read some of their books over and over. Here are some examples:
Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon Stay Awake by Dan Chaon Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz The Da Vinci Code (Robert Langdon, #2) by Dan Brown Angels & Demons (Robert Langdon, #1) by Dan Brown

Danell (danellbookworm) | 686 comments Thanks Dustin, my name starts with D so I must be awesome!! Unfortunately I have never read Dan Chaon or Dan Brown, so I shall thank you again....this time for expanding my tbr list! Such fun!!
"The Stand" by Stephen King, "Intensity" and "Watchers" by Dean Koontz and "See Jane Run" by Joy Fielding are among my favorites. Can't choose just one!!

Danell (danellbookworm) | 686 comments I bought "The DaVinci Code" a few years ago, but have yet to read it. Thought I should start with "Angels and Demons" first. I see in my future a trip to the library!!

Tracy | 140 comments My favorite author is of course Dean Koontz and Relentless by Dean Koontz is my favorite. The next one would be The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner and there is a tie for third. Really for these it just depends on what mood i am in and they are Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson and Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) by Colleen Hoover

message 16: by Tom (new)

Tom (irishhellsangel) | 6 comments Its a tie between One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey or Books of Blood vol. 1-3 by Clive Barker. Cant choose, but if i had to it would be One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest :)

message 17: by Rachel (new)

and the rest are in no particular order.
The Thief of Always by Clive Barker Odd Interlude A Special Odd Thomas Adventure by Dean Koontz Lady of the Shades by Darren Shan The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

message 22: by Robert (new)

Robert Evert | 8 comments Boy, I couldn't even narrow it down to three. It all depends upon my mood.

The Hobbit and LoTRs probably influenced me the most. I've most have read/listened to them 50-60 times...which of course means I had no social life in high school.

Seriously, Normal People scare me and I have found so many like-minded people who can think differently here on goodreads. Thank Goodness! I was beginning to think everyone was deluded in their head. If you are on Facebook you can be my friend, just make sure I know you are because I only add people that I actually know on Facebook. I keep me Facebook Friends at 200 or less. www.facebook.com/dustpancrazy

not sure if I ever told you this- but you actually made me really comfortable about being a member of gr- i'm not on facebook and am not big on social media sites but when I heard about gr I decided to give it a try because I love books

basically I thought i'd get some book recommendations and join a book club and keep my interaction to a minimum. then I found myself commenting about how the quiz for the book Lightning said I got 0 questions right-this irritated me because not only did I get some questions right but that is one of my fave books so of course I had to leave a comment lol

basically you recognized only a koontz fan would get upset about a book quiz score and invited me to koontzland and soon after dare to dream

everyone was so quirky and friendly that I found myself checking into gr regularly to say hi and to talk about books and other interesting topics.

I have basically become addicted to gr ever since and it's your fault ;)
