Write about something at inspires you. With the story I'm writing I was inspired to write a Twilight fanfiction based off the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

I starting laughing when I heard that.... lol. Glad you figured it out. :p

This is boring:
Lily was so hungry. Her stomach started to rumble.
Try:
Lily was famished((Also use different words, instead of hungry=Famished!)),inside her stomach a storm ..."
just be your self...i think yu can do it by practise. try read jodi picoult novel, she know how make us can see the visual from her books!(sorry for my mess language,im not american,im from indonesia,so please understand of my weird language)

On my blog when I'm typing out my fanfics, I always find changes I want to make. I'm just stressing how important editing is. Haha, it's so important and I don't even LIKE editing xD
But seriously. Seriously. SERIOUSLY!!!!

Wow. I wish I could be like you xD"
Actually, normally there are a bunch of spelling errors in my writing, but I just ignore them.
When writing a book, do you finish writing a chapter until it's done or do you just whatever part you feel at the moment. Is it a good idea to finish a chapter before writing the next?

I'm writing a book, but it seems like I start a chapter and later I find holes in my chapter that I haven't though about and then I have trouble filling them.

1. Start the sentence with an impression. You want your readers to get hooked at your story? Then make sure the first line is a blow.
Though I don't know how to do this myself. I just suck at those, lol.
But usually they can be questions, or quotations, or anything really... with deep meaning behind it. I'll try my best here.
2. The same goes for the ending of the chapter. You want your readers to read more? Want more? Make sure the ending makes an impact. Choose the perfect words.
3. Action scenes are the trickiest to write. Have you ever written one? I have. So many times. And the best way to make the fight realistic is to perform them yourself. Yes. You actually don't need someone to be your opponent. But at least try to see if what you are writing is possible. Because most times those who just write them down without any thoughts of it only make it awkward. By trying it yourself, you'll notice trivial parts that actually play a great role in it.
And just like what the others have already said, don't skip the little details. They are important.
I'll add more later.
Don't leave spelling errors. A couple is fine, but it really gets on my nerves when ur trying to read, and it's like "What were they even trying to write?!"
Also, don't make ur chapters three lines long. That makes it boring an uneventful

Use paragraphs. Trust me, looking at a solid block of words that goes on and on really does not motivate someone to read your writing. Remember that when a new person speaks, you almost always start a new paragraph. When you're switching to a new idea, you use a new paragraph. And so on and so forth.
Reread, revise, reedit, repeat. Always go back and read what you've written. Then wait a day or so and read it again. Something that makes sense to you may not to the reader. Also, rereading is the only way you're going to catch typos.
I don't remember if someone already mentioned this, but don't have your sentences be the same length. ex.:
I Laugh. He smiles. We walk away.
Not a good example...Lol. But it's a good tip. :)
Also, put dialouge in there, but not to much. Like,
"Hi."
"Hey."
"I haven't heard from you."
"yeah?"
"So-"
"Hey!" she interrupted.
"Hi."
"Interrupt much?"
See, I was using 3 characters, but the reader doesn't know that. And even if you know who's talking, the reader might be totally confused. :D

Also, if you want to try to get something published, you can't post it anywhere online or submit it for a magazine, or it's already been published, and the company won't re-publish it. It stinks.

2- Use paragraphs
3- Don't use too many Is (as in the letter I, not is), gets, gots, goods, bads, stuffs, things ect.
4- In fact, don't be repetive too much or it will not have the effect you want

Write when you can. It doesn't have to be perfect just write. With that being said, I have the most trouble doing this. Plus my writing keeps changing after a look back at the same piece:/
Movies, Songs, Books, Characters, Quotes, and Places inspires me.
