I did like it. One thing I thought,why use the kids, they have adults they could have used.

I think using the people's kids made it more personal. If the adults saw that their kids were the ones to take the fall if they rebelled, that'd stop them from doing such a thing. I liked the series too, I thought they shouldn't have used kids though either.

My husband thought I was crazy when trying to explain this plot line to him. He said to me how could u read something like that. After him watching the movie and then comparing parts of the book to parts missing from the movie I got him to sit a d read the rest. Of the trilogy in a month. It was great. He loved it and I now catch him imbd-ing the future tries,er for catching fire. The books are so much more detailed and paint a better picture overall how could u not love this series. It's a brilliant story and tugs at our basic instinct to protect our children.
