message 1: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) ...

message 2: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele sighed and stared at the ceiling while Maria sat on her lap, bouncing excitedly. "Addie! It's so exciting, they're going to have a r-r-rally!" Maria squealed.

Adele couldn't help but smile. Only Maria could call her Addie. Ever.

message 3: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele smiled kindly at Eight. "Is there a problem?" she asked, her voice sweet as sugar. Adele was probably the only person Eight didn't hate. Eight just didn't like her.

Maria stopped her bouncing instantly.

message 4: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele rolled her eyes. She didn't say Eight liked her. She just said Eight didn't hate her. Now the distinction is seen. She smiled at Eight sweetly. "But Maria is excited. Isnt it lovely? There's going to be a rally!"

message 5: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele rolled her eyes. "You squealed when you were Maria's age. Why can't she squeal too?" Adele challenged. "Maria, why don't you go get some cookies?"

Maria leaped to the floor and ran on unsteady feet to get some cookies.

message 6: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele laughed. "Everyone was annoying when they were little."

message 7: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele nodded. "Stubborn, aren't you ?"

message 8: by cecilia (new)

cecilia ((lolz.))

Adele rolled her eyes. "Me? Annoying?" she asked innocently. "I find that hard to believe." she said, making the wind in the room blow gently.

message 9: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "You're right. You do need a reality check. Because clearly you're not in it." Adele said sweetly, making the wind blow Eight's hair in her face.

message 10: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "Quit what?" Adele asked innocently. "I'm not doing anything."

message 11: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele frowned. "There's a chicken nugget in here?" she asked sweetly. "Where?" she enjoyed antagonizing Eight. Her favorite sport.

message 12: by cecilia (new)

cecilia ((sorry))

"Games?" Adele asked innocently. "I'm not playing games. Playing means there's a chance of losing."

message 13: by cecilia (new)

cecilia ((LOLZ yeah.))

"I'm bothering you? I'm sorry." Adele frowned. She didn't want to bother anyone. Just have a conversation with someone who wasn't six.

Leanne knocked on the door. "Adele, honey, you need to calm down with the wind. You're blowing my paperwork around."

Adele stopped with the breeze instantly. "Hello, ma'am."

message 14: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Leanne smiled. "Whyever would you do that? The wind is a powerful thing, and Adele must be able to control it. She just shouldn't be doing it in here. You have other spaces for wind, Adele."

Adele bit her lip. "Sorry, ma'am."

message 15: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele frowned. "I'm sorry, ma'am." she said softly.

Maria came racing back to Adele with cookies in her hand. "Mama!" she cried, hugging Leanne's legs tightly. Maria thought Leanne was her mother.

Leanne smiled. "Hello, Maria. You like cookies?"

message 16: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Maria nodded enthusiastically. "Mama want a cookie?" she asked, holding up a cookie in her small, chubby fingers. Her wings fluttered behind her, anxious for flight.

Leanne took the cookie. "Thank you, Maria." she smiled, ruffling Maria's hair and then turning to Adele. "Adele, when was the last time you ate, sweetheart?"

Adele frowned. "I believe it was last week. Why?"

Leanne sighed. "Go eat. Now." Adele complied without complaint. "Eight, dear, would you like to go outside and stretch for a while?"

message 17: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Leanne nodded. "Let's wait a moment for Adele and Maria, and then we may go outside, yes?" Leanne asked, taking a seat on one of the beds.

Adele raced back into the room with a slice of pizza in her hand. There was one bite missing from it. She didn't eat much. Maria giggled. "Addie, you have to eat more than that!" she squealed. Adele sighed and took another bite of the pizza.

Leanne nodded. "Good enough." she commented, knowing that Adele didn't eat much. "Let's go outside, shall we?"

message 18: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Leanne tensed at the sound of Eight's knuckles cracking, hating the noise, and stood up with Maria balanced on her hip. "Shall we?" she asked.

Adele shrugged, throwing the pizza in the trash. She already felt full, like she were about to throw up. It didn't take much food to keep a girl her size moving. Even if she did have wings.

message 19: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Leanne laughed softly. "I'll take that as a yes. Adele, let's go!" she called, and Adele followed Leanne, footsteps lighter than a cat's.

message 20: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele weaved her way between white coats, not wanting to interrupt their noble work. Working around the clock to save the world. Why should she bother them?

message 21: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele was right behind Eight. "What are you waiting for? We're right behind you." she commented, Leanne directly behind Adele with Maria balanced on her hip.

message 22: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele snorted. "Right, you were trying to be nice."

message 23: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele rolled her eyes, waiting for the door to be unlocked.

message 24: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele walked through the door and leaped into the air, snapping out her wings and taking a much needed flight.

message 25: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele soared through the sky. She'd needed time to stretch. Badly.

message 26: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele flew straight up, loving the feel of the sun on her feathers. She looped and flipped through the air, enjoying every moment in the sky.

message 27: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Adele ran back outside. "Eight! Miss Leanne is summoning you!"

message 28: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "With some girl by the crates." Adele said quietly.

((the school thread.))

message 29: by cecilia (new)

cecilia ((Sorry!))

Adele followed, sitting down and crossing her arms across her chest. "Maria is missing..." She said softly.
