Tanya,
I'm not a booktuber but often I see that the ones I follow on YouTube have it in their bio or video descriptions. It's great to start somewhere, you have to after all do that! You can't expect to use the latest Canon or whatever just for booktubing. If you only have a webcam I've seen some use them & I still follow them! The videos aren't such high quality but in the end it's the content that matters & the editing (you're right on that front).
For editing use whatever you've got. Do use something like, perhaps to start with, Windows Movie Maker (if not on a mac). Not sure for a mac but you'll probably find success if you google it XD
Have a great day & hope this helps!

You don't need a super high tech camera, you can use your computer webcam (or you can buy an HD webcam, which lemme tell ya, will make a big difference!)
If you have a camera you already take pictures with, buy a little tripod for cheap at a dollar store and have a flat surface. Just setting a camera on a surface can make it shake and even if its a great quality camera, it'll make the video look not so good :x.
A good thing is to make cue cards or flash cards, this way you can stay on topic about what you want to talk about. Booktubing is kind of like a presentation, but talking to a camera!
If you don't like the video, scrap it. You can always make another, and with everything else, practice DOES make perfect!
Just keep in mind, not many people get paid for booktubing, so I would stay within a budget and just go for it. Like blogging, book tubing is more for the reviewer than anyone else!
I would really appreciate the help x
Much Love,
Tanya
