What Did Magnus Tell Jace

If Magnus doesnt exactly know why he was banned then i wanna know what he exactly told Jace in City of Lost Souls , becasue Jace said something along the lines of "this is the worst news since i found out why Magnus was banned from Peru"

He probably just told his something to really creep him out - I'm assuming he would have just made something up.

I think originally they were gonna say what happened but then backed out and made it that even he doesn't know. Sometimes your imagination is even better than what the author gives you since everyone tends to have high expectations. Not to mention they probably like the idea of it never being revealed.
there is much hype to the reason of Magnus' banning that I don't want to know it anymore. It leaves a sense of mystery to Magnus' character. Besides knowing the reason does not change the plot of any of Cassie's stories
Because of that the ending of this book doesnt make any sense.
