Elfaba (ELF-a-ba) is a play on words taken from the first letters of L. Frank Baum's name. I confess in my head I am still pronouncing it El-FA-ba.

An Easter Egg is a little inside surprise in a book, like Elfaba's name or maybe characters from another of the author's books.

Have you noticed any other Easter Eggs in this book, or can you think of other books with Easter Eggs in them?
