They had put us in a cage made of wooden boards, with a tin roof." This is a quote from the book Even Silence Has an End by Ingrid Betancourt. This book is nonfiction and it's about Ingrid, the author being held captive for about seven years. I liked this book, it was full of suspense and this book was very interesting. This book was kind of difficult to read so i recommend it to people ages thirteen and up. Ingrid Betancourt has not written any other books than this one. This book is different to other books I have read because it's a memoir, a real memory the author had.
