As you see we have a tie again :) so there will be 3 reading this time!

The Seagull will start on June 20th
Cancer Ward will start on June 22th
The Twelve Chairs will start June 25nd

Discussions will continue to July.

We are asking for volunteers who are willing and interested in leading the discussion of this book.

We would also like to know if you like to continue with multiple thread-reading method or whether you like to see a single thread for each reading readings.

Check the polls here: http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/85...

Caleb Blake (caleb72) | 10 comments I'll definitely only be able to fit in one of the three so it's a matter of deciding which one to read.

Although I'm not a huge fan of reading plays I might try out The Seagull.

You're going to start this way too early for me to be a useful discussion leader. I'm only likely to get to this sometime in July. But if I get it read I'll be happy to write what I can about the play.

Laurie Graham | 7 comments I definitely prefer single-thread though I realise one Chekhov play, for instance, might not be enough to sustain some people through the month. Multiple threads just make me frustrated about all the great stuff I want to read and still didn't get round to.

Chris | 32 comments What about reading the Seagull for June and having a vote off between Cancer Ward and Twelve Chairs for July?

Or reading Cancer Ward in July and 12 Chairs in August?

This sounds like a good plan. I think that having all three going at the same time is too much. My guess is that it would yield very few readers for each book.

Dave | 17 comments Excellent choices. I like the multiple reads format. The current selections illustrate a couple of the advantages: people with limited time can participate without making the commitment necessary for War and Peace or Brothers Karamazov, similarly, readers can choose between 19th and 20th century works.

Rachel Green | 37 comments I agree with Dave. While I've been enjoying the Brothers Karamazov, it was a read for March/April, which are busy months for college students. A shorter read would have been a great second option. I think two are enough to keep the number of readers per book from going down.

This sounds li..."

We have done this before but what happens is we get even lesser readers because those who planned to read in this month will be finished by then. I would not be changing dates that further unless the members make personal requests here.

I agree with you both. I too would like to see multiple reads format. I missed the voting so I'll see if I can join 12 Chairs.
