Don G. (dgford) | 35 comments Hi Nanci,

Here are some pictures that are limited but one of them might do the trick. Your name and cover title must still be applied, and don't forget to add something to the back cover. Use a caption in your book that stands out and apply it there.

When you go to this site, use key words in your search for a subject you think fits your book theme. Need further help let us know.

Too bad you didn't ask a couple of weeks ago. I had a ton of links to sites but they got wiped out when I updated my browser which is NOT supposed to happen. Try DeviantArt. You will have to get the photographer's permission but many are willing to do so as long as you give them credit so they can get exposure. Good luck.

Rebecca Forster (rebeccaforster) | 27 comments Google images sometimes works depending on the size you need. Also, I've been able to get free images off microsoft when I'm logged into the powerpoint software. In lieu of an image, depending on your genre, you could always go with a great color and some kind of superb typeface.

Rebecca (rwallace) | 15 comments I've used Morgue File a lot when blogging. Nice for free stock photos, and often the images are of unusual topics and themes that are hard to find elsewhere.

Hi Don thank you. are they free from copyrights? i'll take a look. Meanwhile i'm irritated that actually the man was supposed to get everything done for me but he's now backing out and saying I have to do it myself. I don't have experience :((

To Conrad, never mind. coz I hardly login here. thanks
Is Morgue file free?

Ireth Seregon (irethmonica) I go to Dev art a lot but accd to friends some pple are very defensive and some may demand payment. I've even got flamed when I helped pple to edit work. thanks

Ireth Seregon (irethmonica) Hi Don,
ok now I went to Microsoft but I haven't managed to find an image that's suitable. My stories involve elves, goddesses. My idea of a cover image is of a burning seraphim but the search did not yield anything. I can't use two key words such as flaming sword or it has error.

Thanks so much! As promo, I posted a free story as preview on site. the editor said I got to take it down coz it will affect copyright. I'll remember you :)

Rebecca Forster (rebeccaforster) | 27 comments I've seen elves and goddess at istockphoto. That's where I get my images. They aren't free but good quality.

Rebecca Forster (rebeccaforster) | 27 comments Nianci, The cover is beautiful. I'm afraid I'm not great on Goodreads. In fact, I have a stack of books to review and I need to really sit down and figure out how to post them. I know it should be easier :). Congrats on getting the book up. I hope it's a super success.

An example of a great cover is the first (and subsequent?) editions of Catcher in the Rye, by J. D. Salinger. RED cover, yellow typeface. That's it.
