Not yet. I own the movie but I'm saving it until I read the book.

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 2833 comments Not the entire book but the tragic end of THE OATH OF THE VAYUPUTRAS was very depressing..Reading the dying moments of Sati was hell..

Yes....totally, that part was really sad, and even Shiva's reaction to it..

message 19: by Holly (new)

Holly (goldikova) The very last page of "Confessions of an Ugly Step-Sister" surprised me with tears.

I'm pretty tough, actually bullet-proof when it comes to romance & relationships.....there is no lost-love heartbreak story that can affect me. When a love relationship ends I always react with "Well of course....that is how it always ends, what else did you expect? To love each other happily ever after? Get a grip on reality people."

I'm only vulnerable to mother/daughter issues (I love my mom and my daughter very much) and sad animal stories.

Sera | 71 comments I'm a crier in general but it still does take engaging characters to really bring on the tears a few recent ones that come to mind
The Man I Love by Suanne Laqueur Bad Romeo (Starcrossed, #1) by Leisa Rayven Broken Juliet (Starcrossed, #2) by Leisa Rayven Reclaiming the Sand (Reclaiming the Sand, #1) by A. Meredith Walters Chasing the Tide (Reclaiming the Sand, #2) by A. Meredith Walters True Love Way by Mary Elizabeth Bright Side (Bright Side, #1) by Kim Holden

The more I relate to the character the more I cry. I usually end up with a book hangover after a good tear jerker though :(

I recently read Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson (historic romance). It's a not a tragic story, in fact, it's a beautiful love story, but I'm pretty sure I haven't ever cried reading a book as much as I cried reading this one. It's an emotional roller coaster.
