I have read a few SF books depicting the ability to upload your mind, thoughts, feelings etc onto a mainframe. Even the latest Superman film which I saw last weekend depicted such technology albeit Kryptonian.

What do you think? Do you think are whole conscienceness can one day be uploaded, replicated? What implications would that have, politically and religiousy?
