Any thoughts? This topic is based on what I read on the net and also GR.

Besides that he is awesome, a genius and that he is not scared of anything... He is a very original character, even in his looks, and he is also mysterious, in his feelings and thoughts. I don't think he just attracts fangirls; I've read about boys who like him too.

Unless you are talking about doushinjis... which is highly popular.

He's quirky, mysterious, & i like dude's with dark hair ^_^

I think the way he is like a silent weapon is what girls like about him so much. (silent weapon meaning he doesn't talk much but he figures out a LOT)

Well, I like Light but I like L better because it's like he sees everything. But he doesn't say anything. Lots of girls like the kind of guy who notices things.

His love of sweets rivals mine. Plus, he is a genius. And is quirky. In addition, he is not the main character... That worked well in his favour.

He is a genius, first of all. I admit, intelligence is my Achilles heel. He is cautious in a different way. He is cute. He is not a jerk. Well, he is totally distinctive. I'm saying those as a Light fan. It's hard not to love L.

He has an awesome name, awesome hair, serious disposition, sometimes quirky, and he looks really really really awesome.

L is just plain awesome. He's the only one with the guts to handcuff himself to Kira and act like its nothing that and he reminds me of myself alot

I found L to be a really interesting and unusual character that would be memorable to no matter who read Death Note. His 'hating-to-lose' mind set was extremely relatable and his physical character design is simple, but effective.

Fangirls will latch onto any character out of the norm or handsome, L easily hits both applications.

Personally, it's the way he introduces himself that makes him likable.

I haven't known fangirls of Light/Kira, and that's because he is not exactly the typical hero, but I do know people who admire the character because of his thoughts. He has this attractive madness who makes you questioning your personal values. Like Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal Lecter.

I believe it's the aura that he carries around him and he's basically a nonchalant dreadhead without the dreads

He is very intelligent, a bit weird, and has a really interesting worldview. He's cool in a way that is a bit different to the usual. People do like guys who are a bit more unusual but also very big brained, like L.
