Ashley (readerandwriter) This trilogy is great. It's about three boys who become friends and deal with their sexualities together. This trilogy pefectly portrays the struggles and obstacles of growing up gay. I definitely recommend reading it.

Rainbow Boys
Rainbow High
Rainbow Road

Lydia (loverofinformation) | 596 comments I agree Ashley. I think Sanchez is an excellent writer.

Nikki Boisture | 37 comments I just read Rainbow Boys. I thought it was only OK. Not terrible by any stretch, but not really wonderful either. I didn't think the characters were developed fully enough. I might read the other two, but only if my library has them. I doubt I'd spend money on them.

Mandy (mldavisreads) | 210 comments I have not read the Rainbow Boys trilogy, but I have read two other novels by Alex Sanchez. Getting It was an interesting story about a straight guy getting made over by a gay guy (a la Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) in order to attract the attention of the girl he liked. The God Box was a deeper story about a teenager trying to come to terms with the possibility that he might be gay and reconciling that with the Christian faith he was brought up in.
