Ty | 1943 comments ...you refuse to read E, I, or O books during certain months.

...you refuse to read a book unless it fits at least X number of challenges.

...you read a book just for a challenge.

...you have multiple spreadsheets tracking your progress.

...you scoff at "mood-reading".

...you despair at that one book you're dying to read that won't fit anywhere.

this is all somewhat true for me.

What are some of your addict-like behaviors?

Breann | 398 comments ... you're lost at the end of the month when you're finished with the monthly challenges. Do you read for a yearly? But what if it'll fit in a monthly or quarterly in the future? Do you read a book that only fits one challenge? I DON'T KNOW!!

bamaace83 | 1259 comments ...you don't have your spreadsheets with you at the library and forgot your "to read" list at the house.

...you mumble all sorts of bad words when you're forced to read a genre that is not in your taste range.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments -- impulse reading is a thing of the past.

-- you know exactly what the next four books you are going to read

-- you shake your head when you hear someone says, 'i don't know what to read'.

Fran | 12271 comments LOL!

I love this thread! I have engaged in, felt, experienced , every single one of these comments over the last 3 years.

- I feel sorry for my friends who read but don't do challenges...I gave up trying to explain it to some of them...it's my little secret, and I like it that way!

- I start getting antsy and edgy when the book I inter-library ordered for a specific time-sensitive challenge isn't coming in fast enough for me. Where is it? How could it take so long to get from one library to another? Don't these librarians and library book drivers know how important this book is to me? How much it matters to me that it comes in very, very soon??

Nadine Bookaholic (nadinesobsessedwithbooks) | 1136 comments HA! I agree with everyone one of your comments!

-I try to be in multiple challenges at the same time and make different selections for each of them so I am happily forced to read more books then I really should...LOL

~KarenH~ | 11327 comments All of the above, plus

...you struggle to finish a book that you would normally DNF (if not throw against a wall) because it fills difficult slots in several challenges! :D

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments All of the above and

...you have so many on-going challenges you actually have to create your own GRs group just to keep track of them all.

Amber | 715 comments LOL, I agree with all of these!

- You buy a book you don't want because the title starts with the one letter missing from your A to Z Book challenge.

- You have just started July's challenge and you are already anticipating what August's topics will be.
