...you mumble all sorts of bad words when you're forced to read a genre that is not in your taste range.

-- you know exactly what the next four books you are going to read
-- you shake your head when you hear someone says, 'i don't know what to read'.

I love this thread! I have engaged in, felt, experienced , every single one of these comments over the last 3 years.
- I feel sorry for my friends who read but don't do challenges...I gave up trying to explain it to some of them...it's my little secret, and I like it that way!
- I start getting antsy and edgy when the book I inter-library ordered for a specific time-sensitive challenge isn't coming in fast enough for me. Where is it? How could it take so long to get from one library to another? Don't these librarians and library book drivers know how important this book is to me? How much it matters to me that it comes in very, very soon??

-I try to be in multiple challenges at the same time and make different selections for each of them so I am happily forced to read more books then I really should...LOL

...you struggle to finish a book that you would normally DNF (if not throw against a wall) because it fills difficult slots in several challenges! :D

...you have so many on-going challenges you actually have to create your own GRs group just to keep track of them all.

- You buy a book you don't want because the title starts with the one letter missing from your A to Z Book challenge.
- You have just started July's challenge and you are already anticipating what August's topics will be.

- When your calendar among other things tracks books being read and what you will be reading for the next couple of days.

... when you spend as much time figuring out and keeping track of your challenges as you do actually reading the books for them!

... when you spend as much time figuring out and keeping track of your challenges as you do actually reading the books for them!"
oooh that's a good one. I spend FOREVER staring my TBR and spreadsheets and always end up thinking, heck, I could've been reading!

...you refuse to read a book unless it fits at least X number of challenges.
...you read a book just for a challenge.
...you have multiple spreadsheets tracking your progress.
...you scoff at "mood-reading".
...you despair at that one book you're dying to read that won't fit anywhere.
this is all somewhat true for me.
