Rose (seekeroftruth) Elementary is an American crime drama series that premiered on CBS on September 27, 2012. It presents a contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes set in the United States. It stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson. Holmes is a former consultant to Scotland Yard and also an addict. He travels to New York City to check into a rehabilitation center then lives with Watson, who becomes his sober companion and eventually his apprentice.

I want to see it but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Is it any good?

Rose (seekeroftruth) It's all right. Not the best adaptation, but not bad either.

I've watched the entire first season and I think it's really solid and well done, building to a superb two part season finale which involves Irene Adler and Moriarty.

Did you see the woman from The Tudors who played Anne Boylen was in Elementary as Irene Adler? Did you see there was a twist too? Two major characters from the Holmes canon are changed from male to female in Elementary! And did you see Sean Pertwee (son of Dr.Who Jon Pertwee) played Lestrade in the premiere ep of Elementary season 2? All in all, I think Elementary is a pretty cool show with some awesome episodes and very cool guest stars!
