Does the book have similar story to The Walking Dead?

I find the book very similar to The Walking Dead's story. I wonder am I only person to think that way?

Only because it is zombies, of sorts. And a virus that is still around. By that I mean the teens turn zombie long after the EMP. And in TWD the virus is in them so no matter how they die, barring damage to the brain, they resurrect. Other than that no more similar than any other zombie book, in my opinion.
No, not at all.
Besides, there are no zombies in this book. None of the children die and come back to life. They have merely been affected by the zap (as it's called in the book) and have turned into crazy cannibals. They still think and act upon their decisions.
As well as, only teens (or younger) are affected. Whereas a few people have gained 'powers'.
The only similarities I see are that they both relate to survival instincts situations.
