Elevetha How do you feel about it? Should it be legal everywhere?

Mostly concerning polygamy for bisexuals. Ex. Jane marries Ann and Steve.

Ella (AWholeLotofNothing) | 386 comments I personally can't seem to agree with it. I feel like (a) that it does encourage stereotypes and (b) seems to reinforce the whole concubine thing that used to happen. But polygamy is not harming me in anyway, so I suppose it's their choice. If people are getting harmed, or it's a dysfunctional relationship, I think that's because of the relationship(s), not the polygamy itself.

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments Polygamy is weird I watched a documentary about a twelve year old girl who's father is the first British man to have a legal polygamy relation ship, its like 8 wives. I found it odd and I thought it more odd at the things this girl said, she saw it that they were all her mother, she said things like this is "blah blah my craft mummy" and this is "so so my Musical mummy". This really weirded me out of how a girl refers to her having many mothers and although she loved them all, I couldn't help but imagine myself in that situation and I wouldn't be able to call them my mother.

To have that many mother figures and just one father figure seems just... bizarre!

I always feel like there are more polygamists who are men with multiple wives than there are women with multiple husbands. (You know, when you see commercials for "Sister Wives" or something like that.)

Jake | 92 comments Until I see a polygamic society where a woman has five husbands, all I see polygamy as is the objectification of women. The men just see them as screwable toys for collecting. There's really no point in polygamy except for men having an excuse to hoard people to sleep with. Because, let's face it, nobody has a deep emotional connection with eight people.

Jake | 92 comments Well, yes, you're right, I suppose I should have been more specific. I mean a deep, romantic, emotional relationship.

Exactly! I'm glad you could put that into words better than I could :)

Mostly concerning polygamy for bisexuals, as that is currently trying to be passed in the US. Ex. Jane marries Ann and Steve."

Are you sure? I have never heard of that. Can you give a reference? Are you sure it's not made up by some random anti-gay hate group? Thx.
