My coworkers were extremely hospitable, my students mischievous and curious, and oh, you will LOVE the food. Super healthy and colorful. The shopping's pretty incredible, too, but my favorite thing was to go hiking on the weekends and meet up with literally trains of people going up and down the mountainside. I'll try to post more pictures of places I mention in the book on my blog soon. Take care!

Now when I first read the blurb to the book, the one thing that grabbed me was the characters name because it's unusual. Growing up with an unusual name and being Latina naturally I already sensed that I would find the characters relatable even if I wasn't a fan of the story. But so far I'm glad I took a chance on it because I'm in love with both the characters and the story!!!
The Author I'm choosing to spotlight is a lovely soul named Heather Heffner. She's the writer of a current read of mine, The Year of the Wolf.
The Year of the Wolf centers around Citlalli Alvarez, an American girl of Mexican descent, who's family gets uprooted to Seoul, South Korea after her sister disappears. This is where the story starts getting awesome!
The story features lots of Korean lore as well as werewolves, vampires, spirit worlds and all that other good stuff that makes a great Urban Fantasy but it also has some Epic Fantasy elements.Citlalli is such a kickass heroine who has a really strong love for her family. I can't wait to finish it and look forward to the next book in The Alvarez sisters Saga.
The great news about this book is that Heather is offering it free via smashwords until July 15th with a promo code. For details visit and "like" her facebook page, check out her blog or the series tumblr site.Come on guys it's worth checking out!
