46% - I like the descriptions made of Joe. How he brightens up a room. I can just imagine it!
I'm not sure what to make of this book at the moment!

I liked this a lot.the setting and the characters had this sort of magical quality about them.

I love how the characters seem so colourful.

It saddens me about Toby and Lennie. She says she won't do it again then it still happens! Unfreakingbelievable. I think Lennie reminds Toby of Bailey, that's just it. But it's still wrong :c Then there's Joe, who's all smiles and almost always surging with happiness. I love the descriptions of him, too. And how he feels comfortable around the Gram and Big's company. What a good guy!

About Lennie's parents, I'm really really curious about them.

I never expected this to be a tearjerker. I feel like crying right now hahaha! Grandmothers are the best. I wish mine are still alive. Never even met them, at least old enough to remember, though. Joe really is hurt, and I hope somehow he forgives Lennie. It's frustrating me! It's been long now. I could really sympathize with the characters and that's a good sign :)

I agree Mei I got really sad over Toby and Lennie's relationship at times. However, the author does it so well that I could also understand both their points of view. And yes Lennie's grandmother is so cute! And I love Joe.

Just started. I just read a couple of chapters and wow, it's beautifully written. :O Jandy Nelson describes things so well. <3

54% end of chapter 21: (view spoiler)[I loove the metaphors.The book's full of them and they're all amazing. I never lost someone I really loved but this book still hits me hard. Joe is perfect book boyfriend and Toby is.. well.. okay. He should stop bugging Lennie though and Lennie should stop seeing him. I really don't get love triangles in books and in general. Why do people get attracted to two peeps at the same time? >.< (hide spoiler)]

Done reading it! Wish I didn't put it on hold cause it was a good and an easy read but yeah, college stuff..

Thoughts:
I said it before and I'm saying it again. This book is beautifully written. The characters are all hip, cool, and screwed up all at once it's interesting. (view spoiler)[ I know people are capable to do crazy stuff when coping with grief. It wasn't easy for Lennie. She made some awful mistakes and she kept repeating them. She could sometimes be quite annoying and if I weren't annoying myself, I would've stopped myself from trying to understand her. I'm glad Joe forgave her in the end. I like it when people at least try to forgive others. :) (hide spoiler)]

I have high hopes from this book, because I absolutely LOVED I'll give you the sun. I'm not too happy with the synopsis, though. In a relationship with your dead sister's boyfriend? Ugh, nope. Sounds like a Gayle Foreman novel.
