Just finished the book and I enjoyed the story, but this is my first experience with the author. I was wondering if anyone else found her writing style difficult to follow? Something about it kept me fumbling through some sentences and I was wondering if it was just me. The dialogue obviously took some getting used to but I got the hang of it. I want to read the rest of the series but I have a feeling I'm going to get frustrated by how slowly I end of having to read. Am I the only one? Any suggestions?

My first suggestion for you would be to start at the beginning of the series and read each one in order. You can find the first book (The Warlord Wants Forever) in Playing Easy to Get. It helps you learn and understand each of the characters. As for the writing style, all of the Immortals After Dark books are written the same way. I can't really say that I had a hard time reading any of the books to be honest. I actually just glanced through my copy of the book and I didn't see a problem with the dialog.
That being said, you can either continue reading the rest of the series - which I would highly recommend - or don't. In the end, it's up to you. I thoroughly enjoyed every one of the IAD books.

I have read all the IAD books and just finished Shadow's Claim. I didn't have any problems with her books though their are a lot of characters that overlap in the books. The dialogue changes with the books depending on where there from which I found quite funny at times. I agree with Amanda about reading them in order as it does make more sense as the books run into each other but from different angles.
