Kresley Cole's Immortal After Dark, especially

Can you reference a book(s) for her and why you suggested her?

They'd all be paranormal romance, but some might be urban romance

I also recommend the Grave series by Darynda Jones (paranormal romance). Reyes Farrow is second only to Barrons in my book!
Her teen series is pretty good too although I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

Kresley Cole's Immortal After Dark, especially

Cole's series is full of dangerous men, and women (The Valkyrie). Great series.

Dmitry Medlov from the Medlov Series. I'm obsessed with the Medlov men!!! All I can say is that Dmitry is oh sooooo HOT!
Tattoos, 7ft tall, full of sinewy muscles, plus he's always dressed so dapper and charming. And everyone knows that I love a well-dressed man! And I can just imagine his sexy Russian accent; just makes me tremble. I love me some powerful Alpha Males! I would not mind being married to the mob if it means that I can have a man like Dmitry Medlov!

I'd never heard of these so I looked up the first one. Sounds interesting. I'll have to add it to my "to be read" pile.

Lords of the Underworld
Midnight Breed
BDSM
Masters at Arms Series----this is a good "starter" series if you're new to this genre. Four soldiers come back from war & start a bdsm club together. This is the stories of their friendships and the women they fall in love with.

The Master's of the Shadowland Series is also a classic. Lot's of different "master" types.

Paranormal
Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series though

Kresley Cole's IAD series is great, as is her new book

Larissa Ione's Demonica series.

Historical Romance

Lisa Kleypas Wallflower series. It's really good, but this one has the bad boy and it's the best in the series:

Monica McCarty's Highland Guard series is excellent. This is my fave so far in the series (I'm 4 books in, there are 7 out) and he is definitely the bad boy and outcast of the bunch

Black Dagger Brotherhood

Lords of the Underworld

Feral Sins

Midnight Breeds

Vampires in America

(sorry didn't know how to link)
I would also include:
(All mostly contemporary erotic romance)
Madline Sheehan: Undeniable series (biker)
Bianca Sommerland: Dartmouth Cobra series (hockey)
Nicole Edwards: Alluring Indulgence series & Club Destiny series (both BDSM) and/or multiple partners or polyamory)
Recently read Seize Me by Crystal Spears..part of Breakneck series. The epitome of dangerous bad boy biker. Excellent read!
Also love Elle Kennedy's out of uniform series maybe we don't hear a lot about the danger but damn they are Navy SEALs!! (Military)She has other series but I haven't read them yet.

Hi Elizabeth. To add a book link, click on add book/author above the comment box. It will pull up a search screen where you can select the title or cover for books. Hope that helps.

I hear you there. I just re-read it over the weekend by audio.

Yes, one of my favorite dangerous fantasy heroes too. Such a sexy and scary Dragon ;-) So relieved he did not eat the heroine - well not literally anyway 8-)

Lord of Scoundrels is an absolute favorite of mine! Loved Sabastian and the heroine! Nether hero nor heroine are held to impossible ideals of physical appearance or wealth. And the story conflicts are more realistic real life challenges (of the historical time) such as lost reputation, gambling addiction, illegitimate children, false friends, family dis-function, etc.

Loved Devil in Winter and the whole Wallflowers series too! The lovers chose to become more through the motivation of love - not less. A little bit of history and culture with bad boys, hot sex, AND hearts and flowers.

I haven't read the following but it seems like everyone else has & that they are super popular:

One of the best IMO

Did you say Dragos & eating in the same sentence? I'll be fantasizing all day now. LOL

I have to respectfully disagree. Since the first book was literally Twilight fan fiction, you could argue that Twilight was really the book that spawned countless others. I give EL James (or whatever her name is) zero credit for that. And on a personal note, I disrespect her too much to even bother linking to her in this post.
for dangerous heroes I have to say Lisa Marie Rice takes the cake....
not sure if these are in the proper order, but for dangerous heroes that are totally hot, this is my rec!

I added Fifty Shades of Grey based on your recommendation, Alisa. With all due respect, Kim, I don't think we all have to agree with choices for them to be added to the list. The parameters aren't quite that narrow for this list. We're bound to have differing tastes, but I think any members who would like to suggest titles are entitled to have books added to the list.

I also added the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer in light of your point about it being influential to a new subgenre of romantic fiction.

I was in no way offended by your remarks Kim. I agree we are bound to have differing tastes as Lady D had suggested and I thought this was the forum to express our opinions. My sensibilities get 'offended' when I see erotica suggested as required reading for a topic such as "required reading for dangerous hero lovers". But Lady D. is correct when she suggests we are not all going to agree. I just wanted to let you know that (I felt) you were in no way offensive in your comment.

Kim wrote: "I didn't mean to suggest that it shouldn't be added. I think I was confused about the topic of the thread. Too many for me to keep up with I guess. :) Apologies if I offended anyone."
It's no problem. I wasn't offended. I just want to make sure the everyone knows their opinions are considered valid, so long as the hero/supporting characters qualify for the broad definition of dangerous hero.
Hope my response wasn't poorly worded. My brain is uber-fried after working a long day today and little sleep. :(
