Gayathri (elgeewrites) | 35 comments So rant on about the books that made you feel you wasted your time, irritated you, that had spelling mistakes, or was just plain crap.

There are always those books that you absolutely love to shout at, list them out.

I start by one of such books.

Oh Shit Not again
One word: CRAP! How did it even get published?

I'm right now reading PS....seems quite good. But I had to add her book in the list because it's really BAD!! i mean, I can't explain to you literally HOW BAD and utterly MEANINGLESS that books is.....I don't know what went wrong, maybe she wrote some rubbish and expected readers to like it.....or, I just didn't get it. But whatever it is, I think that book tops my list of worst books!! Let's see.....if she can please me with PS I Love You.

message 6: by Saima (new)

Saima Siddiqui (sensationalsaima) I quite like Cecelia Ahern's books. I've read Where Rainbows End, which was pretty good and am currently reading P.S I Love you, which is good so far. I can't imagine her writing shitty books.

message 7: by Sohini (new)

Sohini Banerjee (banerjeesohini) Zadie Smith On Beauty by Zadie Smith

Some will find the book very compelling...but I took over a month to read the piece...so as far as I am concerned...it's crappy

Gayathri (elgeewrites) | 35 comments One another book that was quite irritating was Nobody's Baby But Mine (Chigago Stars, #3) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
The plot, the characters, the dialogues everything had me at my end of patience. I am not sure how is it rated with 4 stars, even.

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 2833 comments Love @ Facebook
I hated this book right from the first page. But only due to my habbit of finishing a book regardless of how much crappy it is, i had to finish it . Hated it so much that i have actually wrote a hate letter and posted to her and copies the same to her mail,FB page and Website. God, please make the author unable to write anymore..

Yes.....I'm reading PS too, and I'm finding it really sweet.....even I was surprised when I read Ahern's If you Could see Me Now.....I'd heard a lot of her, and was really surprised that she can write such shit........!!!! Real crap, that book.

message 11: by Chetana (new)

Chetana Kamath (chetanakamath9) Many horrible books in my list..
1) Careful What You Wish For by Neera Gupta, some stupid model - turned- author.. Yucky book!
2) The Promise by Nikita Singh ( reminded me of the meaningless Hindi TV soap I used to watch a decade ago )
3) Accidentally in Love by Nikita Singh ( too much emphasis on physical intimacy )
4) If You Could See Me Now by Cecilia Ahern ( couldn't complete this book )
5) Revolution 2020 by Chetan Bhagat ( no comments )
6) Like It Happened Yesterday by Ravinder Singh ( it took me a full day to digest the fact that he was the same person who wrote the amazing "I Too Had A Love Story" )

message 12: by Hajarath Prasad (new)

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 2833 comments chetana - I hated love @ Facebook by Nikita Singh too

message 13: by Chetana (new)

Chetana Kamath (chetanakamath9) Didn't read that.. Two of her books have already disgusted me. Can't handle another !

I hated If You Could See Me Now too....horrible!!

message 15: by Aishee (new)

Aishee One Night At The Call Centre and The Time Of My Life top my worst book list. Other than that The Nostradamus Prophecies and Manuel Of The Warrior Of The Light were huge disappointments.

message 16: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (bplayfuli) All 3 of the books in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series. Just awful. I read all 3 out of desperation. I dropped my Kindle and the screen froze so my sister lent me hers for a week. All she had on it were smutty romance novels. It was a long week.

I read till the middle of the second book of the Fifty Shades of Grey series. While the first book made me feel sick and my skin crawl. The second book,or what I could manage to read without gagging, traumatized me. I didn't even keep that book on my reading-list, I deleted the my copy of its e-book and basically removed all of it's traces. If the first book was despicable, the second one was downright terrifying.

message 18: by Jojobean (new)

Jojobean Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves

I just really disliked this book. It sounded so cool from the synopsis but it was completely not what I was expecting. It was just so confusing and so....bad. To this day I still have no idea what the heck I read

message 20: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Ramirez (melissaramirez) | 241 comments I really didn't like "Faking 19". It was so unmemorable; that I can't even remember the author's name!

I thought it was going to be exciting, or worthwhile somehow (the original synopsis says something about one of the girls harboring a "secret") but it wasn't...it was just about these two 17 year olds who meet this rich guy who's a couple years older than them (22-23) and so, in an effort to impress him, the two friends pretend that they're 19, instead of 17.
That's basically it. There's some dramatic arguments here and there, but nothing too exciting.
And then of course...why 19? The difference between 17 and 19 is relatively minor - 19 year olds can't even legally drink, or anything. Of course, this level of thought was probably not present in the mind of the author, but I kept thinking..."you might as well just have made them fake 21"...

Oh well. It was a freebie on Amazon; and now I know why. They couldn't get anyone to actually spend money on it!

Sparsh Hardik | 1 comments I too had a lovestory-ravindar singh,
so cheap lovestory.

message 22: by E. (new)

E. | 12 comments Some of the books that I did not like:
Marked by P.C. Cast
Evermore by Alyson Noel
Echoes of Paradise by Deanna Kahler

The Girl In Boots wrote: "hush hush and existence"

Yes...Hush Hush was SO bad!

message 24: by Sera (new)

Sera | 71 comments I haven't read anything too bad lately mostly because I've allowed myself more leeway with DNF's. If I am not feeling a book by the time I'm halfway through I don't bother finishing it anymore. Too many good books to waste my time on something I'm not feeling. The last DNF I had was These Gentle Wounds by Helene Dunbar . It wasn't bad, the writing was actually good the story to me was just boring and slow :(

message 25: by Storm (new)

Storm | 163 comments It has to be 'Twilight'.
I once borrowed it from a friend of mine. It sucks! No sooner did I start it than I found it was nonsense. Might be adorable, but still I didn't like it at all. Then it was on HBO. I tried watching it, but really it was hopeless.
I mean wolf making love, wolf riding bike....
I don't know why girls fancy it so much. Even a girl told me it was because of that Robert guy.
Is it ?
May be threesome (humans, wolves, vampires) is awesome, but still I didn't like it at all.

message 26: by IShita (new)

IShita | 1528 comments Slaughterhouse Five. I have absolutely no idea what the fuss is about. Such a small book and it took me nearly a month to complete it. I jut couldn't get myself to read it! Probably the worst book I have ever chosen to take on to a vacation. I'd have to say worse than Twilight or Fifty Shades. No offense!

message 27: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 28, 2015 05:01AM) (new)

2 books I was not able to finish

Rooms and The Other Story

Rooms was the attempt of a YA author writing an adult novel. The premise was good, just poorly written.

The Other Story had no real plot, it was for me, nothing more than the author wanting the reader to swallow long winded descriptions of nothing, so she could show that she had a large vocabulary.

message 28: by Sera (new)

Sera | 71 comments I just finished The Truth in Lies by Jeanne McDonald . It started out OK although the writing was a bit juvenile it ended up super predictable and cheesy, with a totally unnecessary cliffhanger.

message 29: by Michael (new)

Michael (micky74007) Riding the Iron Rooster Riding the Iron Rooster by Paul Theroux

I found the arrogance of this author to be unbelievable.

message 30: by Madikeri (new)

Madikeri Abu | 4 comments There are many but the one which immediately comes to my mind is Fools Die. I could not believe an author who wrote a novel like The Godfather could write such a worst book!

Aubrey McMahon (mysticfallstraitor) | 19 comments uhmmm...To All the Boys I've Loved Before Lara Jean sounds too childish and annoying.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Raven (The Raven Saga, #1) by Suzy Turner
The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate
Going Underground by Susan Vaught
A Crack in the Line (Withern Rise, #1) by Michael Lawrence
Once in a Full Moon (Full Moon, #1) by Ellen Schreiber
Descension (Mystic, #1) by B.C. Burgess
and all Vampire Diaries

Oh, man. I have that book to read and loved The Godfather :(

message 36: by Karthikeyan (new)

Karthikeyan Murugesan (karthikeyan_murugesan) Twilight. I spent actual money to buy the paperback version of the first two books. Literally (and I do mean literally) threw it into a trash bin. I felt like throwing actual money into the dustbin. Saddest day of my life :(

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

The book that immediately jumps to mind is Gone Girl. The only reason I read the whole thing is because I kept hoping it would get better since everyone was talking about it. Bu no it didn't I wanted to throw it out the window when I was done. Thankfully I had borrowed it from a friend (who hated it too) so I didn't spend any actual money on it. Just wasted time when I could have been reading something much better.
