I didn't ask for very many. I have so many books to read right now that I'm only asking for books I really want to read. I was turned down for and that bummed me out. I really want to read that one.

Go to this page http://www.abovethetreeline.com/getti... and click on reviewer, blogger or media. Scroll down and under Demos and Help click on Requesting Downloading Review Copies. Under How to Download and Read Digital Review Copies click on Visual guide to requesting DRC's. That's how I figured it out :)

They are. I think they accept only bloggers, and not all of them. There are some titles they accept more easily than others, so you should just try. :)

@Sapir: hopefully they accept me lol :) I requested like 10 books already hahaha

I think I may sign up for Edelweiss. I've never done any reading and reviewing for sites like that, only directly through a few authors on Goodreads. I guess I have to start and try somewhere, huh?

aw Greta :( I wish they could just tell us why we got turned down or they can tell us what we need to have to get accepted like put exactly how many followers we need cause what's important to them are numbers... I think they shouldn't base it on the quantity but the content of your reviews. GRR! lol

Hey, Leigh, what do you include in your requests. I'm thinking of making a few requests soon. (I signed up for Edelweiss yesterday.)

My luck with Netgalley is SO MUCH better than for Edelweiss *sigh*

I put down how long I've been blogging, what genre I read and review, # of my followers on my blog, twitter, and how many friends I have on goodreads. I also say how many visitors my blog gets per month.

It depends. Some publishers respond really fast and some take forever. I requested one book in March and it's still on my waiting list. I've also received a response in the same day that I requested.

I find that if you don't get a yes within a week, it's a no. It really annoys me when they don't just say no though! why leave us hanging! it's frustrating!

Bummer :( I've been waiting for since the beginning of the month. It's probably a no then :(

probably. I requested at the end of June and got a 'no' today. It's rare to get a yes after a week I've found.
