Just a quick note that I really hate when I leave my books somewhere and then have to start a new one. I am now reading 3 books at once!!!

I left one in my husband's car and the other at work and when I was leaving the house this morning I realized my bag was too light and I have to grab anothr book becuase I didn't have time to go to his car and get Bridge of Sighs and I left The Schwa Was Here at the office so I grabbed my nex to read Going After Cacciato

I really hate that!!!! But I can't go on my hour+ commute with a book or magazine!!!!

I am sure I am not the only person this has happened to!!!

I keep going back & forth about the kindle. I want one but I love the old fashion book. The kindle is not cheap so if I buy it I def wanna put it to use. Can't I just rent one for a bit???

Jen (nekokitty) | 339 comments Wanna know what I did before I bought my Sony Reader? I went to Target to try it out. Target has the Sony Reader on display - the display has several books already loaded on it. Try reading a chapter or two and see what you think. I think once you try it, you'll fall in love! If you have any questions, just let me know what they are. I have the Sony, and my sister has a Kindle. I'm pretty well-versed with both. :) (Besides, they're pretty much the same!)

Good luck with the decision! If you take the plunge, you won't regret it! Feel free to let me know what your questions/concerns are - I can probably help you out!

Anna (stregamari) I had a kindle, and hated it! I love reading ebooks, but hate having to deal with amazon's weirdness. i have a sony ereader now, and love how it's mine, and when i buy an ebook, it's mine. there are so many ebooks available to me on the ereader, both on all the ebook sites and barnes and noble, and our library carries a few gazillion titles also. whew! good luck deciding, and have fun whatever you choose

Exactly! That's why I love my Sony. :) (Well, one of the many reasons...)

Hmmm, you sound obessessed! Just like the rest of us! :) I really liked that series of books by Scott Westerfeld. I encouraged my kids to read them, such a great, subtle way for them to learn that beauty is inside

Jen (nekokitty) | 339 comments Some kids like to sleep with teddy bears.... mine likes to sleep with books! She's 5 years old, and I let her go to bed with a flashlight so she can read after bed time. Am I crazy? (I think not - I'm just letting her do the things I had to be sneaky about when I was a kid!)

Definitely a smart mother! I worked in a children's hospital for 14 years, and was amazed at the difference between readers and non-readers, even in toddlers. My kids still talk about how we sat in bed with them, and read their favorite stories over and over. Now, they are great readers themselves. All are considered "gifted", and have scored in the top 6% of the nation in those basic test scores. Geniuses? No, I just think they can read and comprehend well. *sigh* sorry, got on my soap box

Marisella, I am obsessed and am now bringing books to work because I am running out of room at home.

Jenni, that's awesome. My daughter goes in her room and right to the books. She also goes right for mine (as you can see in the pic)

Suzanne, I hope so!
