Haha, I know I don't. I scan the shelves at the library and think, "Dull cover, the title is too wordy, I don't feel like reading the description,.....ah! Found one! So ensnaring I must add it to the other three books I will allow myself to check out." That's right, I have to restrict myself or I'd go home with half the teen section and a month later, 22 book fines :)

No, I'm with you. Lol
What can I say? I'm a sucker for pretty book covers /OTL
but if I've hear good things about a certain book, I'll at least read the back or part of its synopsis as a last chance.
But I guess the reasoning for the judging a book by its cover is that there are so many books to choose from, whether in a bookstore or a library. The most attractive book covers get your attention and get you wondering what they're about.
(Same thing goes with people; first they are attracted by another person's outer, physical appearance before they get to know them. LOL)
It's most likely that if your book has a good design, it will up its chances at getting picked up.
Camille, your book has a good chance of getting picked up then :)! I kind of want to read "The Boyfriend App" because of it's cover.

Aw, pshh. Idk if I want to publish it or not in the future. I'm still mapping out the plot as well, but thank you ;D
And, I saw that on my feed and added it to my to-reads too! It looks interesting xD
