I just started this book! First two chapters are actually really good! Graphic and Interesting!

Oh man! I haven't gotten very far in this book! But all I can say is OMG! That Mr. Chips is a crazy man for real! James Patterson is a great author! I think David Baldacci has competition! Short chapters, suspenseful and very gripping!

Seriously messed up dude. Poor kids.

I know! Wow how many books do you read at once?

4 right now. 1 on audio book w/ my husband. 1 by myself for our book club. 1 with my niece and one for in between book club books

Wow! That's alot, I think I would be confused! I really like "along came a spider" so far... It's sad, but really interesting!

I have a hard time with the Alex Cross, I like his partner better so far. He just seems like such an angry person to me. It seems like if he wouldn't lose his temper he would be able to do more against the injustices, like the murder case he wants to work on. Also, I know the two missing kids are rich and white, but they are still just kids and they are lost and scared.

I like Alex Cross, but i do see your point! The other murder is important, but the other kids are at least still alive at the time, just missing! So they are a little more important because their death could be prevented. But i think i like the tough, rough, mean guy role for him!

In a way, i wonder if the two murders are connected.

Ooh. That would definitely be a plot twist!

I'm on Chapter 17. I'm reading online so I'm not sure what page that is. I'm really confused about the random appearance of the old women with Maggie. I'm really liking how Alex is getting into this case, but still caring about his first one by splitting the cases between him and his partner.

For some reason I think the "old women" is really Gary... But idk? I'm on chapter 30.... So far it's really interesting!

What?!? He has a wife and kids!?! I'm on chapter 28 and I don't even have a clue how this is going to end!

Yeah, its like he is living as several people in one body this man just keeps getting weirder and weirder as the story goes on! I have no clue how this will end either, I am on Chapter 49!!! You?

I'm on chapter 48. Man, just when I think this book can't get any crazier!!! Do you think he is acting like he has Multiple Personality Disorder? I think it's an act. And where is Maggie? Did he give her to another kidnapper? So many questions! I'm glad Jezzie and Alex got together, they seem good for each other.

I am on chapter 54 now! And I am still clueless on alot! It is getting crazier and crazier! I dont think he has Multiple Personality Disorder, I think its an act! He always said he wants to be a star! This is his ACT! I think Maggie is with another kidnapper? or she was left somewhere, they never mentioned Gary working with anyone? So it seems weird! I hope she is found alive! I don't like Jezzie and Alex together for some reason, it seems rushed or somewhat fake! There is something about her, i don't like!

Ok sorry I have Ben absent thru-out this discussion! This book is amazing. Attention grabber from the first to chapters, I hate to say this but I'm really enjoying mr chips and his crazy whorp perception on the world. I kinda feel empathy for him. I can't even begin to fathom being locked in a basement in total darkness for hours or even weeks at a time. How unbearable that must have Ben. To be left with nuts but your thoughts and hatred and the nagging feeling of wanting to b loved at the same time. How awful that must have Ben for him to live like that and to see kids playing with your toys and eaten ur food that u once enjoyed. Where was his father? And wut kind of relationship did they have where he couldn't tell him what was going on. I don't think he was born this way but made that way into a monster. I can see how he would want others to feel the pain that he had. Not sayn that its right but I can emphasize

I really like cross to! I love his arrogance and humility at the same time. He confident in his job and his talent which is well deserved. I would b to after wut he has suffered. His partner is his a perfect compliment to him they balance each other out. His nana is straight old school big mama. All the right things to say at the perfect time to discipline you and to build up back up.

I can't wait to see how thus unfolds. I'm not even tryn to guess wut will happen next bc I have Ben thrown each time so I give up with tryn to figure it out. Chp 61 let's see wut goes from here

I agree with ebony about Jessie she seemed to well put together to fall so quickly for a colleague. I don't know quite wut her angle is yet. Or could it be she lost in the sauce or just falling n love lol. But when ur big mama tell u she has a funny feeling bout someone listen sum times they see wut u don't see....I think Maggie is with some other ppl too. At first I thought it was those country cops but I don't know. There is something that is missing. N wut Eva happen to those agents that went for coffee break when kids got stolen.

And how did mr chips pull cross into this. How did he know about him. I get he wants to b challenge and he very intelligent but that seems like a lot of work to no who will get to be assigned to which case, unless he has someone on the inside? Idk just speculation

I like to read about Gary crazy self too! And I'm glad we are both questioning Jezzie!

I soooooo think mr chips is faking everybody out with that alter ego of mr Murphy. I actually thought he was goons get off in court. I wonder if that was apart of his plan I I'm on 72. I plan on finishing tonite

I am on Chapter 76 and the PLOT has thickened BIG TIME! Oh Jezzie Jezzie! This is the best part YET! ;)
