So, I just finished the CUTEST movie ever, "Little Manhattan." I don't know if any of you have seen it, but it's got Josh Hutcherson in it, and it's about first love. Some people would say it's sappy, but I find it relatable...I mean, who DOESN'T go completely sappy when they have their first crush? :)

message 2: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) I love that movie! I haven't seen it in a while though...but it's really weird seeing Josh at that age. XD

message 11: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Am I the only one that has ever tried a hot sauce so hot it's painful? Because I was talked into that a couple days ago. It hurt.

message 12: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) You should try Ghost Pepper sauce. It felt like having a piece of hot metal held to my tongue, but only where the drop of sauce touched.

message 13: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I would be careful with it. It's not something I would actually recommend doing, looking back. I love hot sauces but that's just too much.

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments So is this like a shot of Tabasco kind of thing cause that is crazy. I did it once, couldn't taste food for three days!

Jenn (ace-geek) Evan wrote: "So is this like a shot of Tabasco kind of thing cause that is crazy. I did it once, couldn't taste food for three days!"

No, Tabasco's mild by comparison to the hotter sauces. And never bite into the hotter peppers. I've seen a guy's mouth bleed...

I'll be honest, as a rule of thumb, I don't like spicy stuff.

I don't know. I guess I just don't like it burning all the way down my throat, haha! :D But I DO like salsa!

HALP! I don't know how to change my profile and it has been the same since I started this website...... if it helps, I am on a kindled fire. Does anyone know how to fix it?

message 21: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) You go to your profile page and then next to your name there should be a link that says (edit profile) :)

Unless you use the mobile version...then I wouldn't know because I don't use it...sorry.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

That's alright. I can try tomorrow on the computer.

message 23: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I only have Kindle for PC, sorry. Their website might have a FAQs section.

You guys, I just saw "Phantom of the Opera" (the movie, not the live stage performance although I want to see that too). That was amazing. Just amazing. It just broke my heart when (view spoiler). I definitely wasn't expecting it...in fact, I was expecting quite the opposite. I can totally understand WHY she did it, but I felt that the Phantom needed someone to love him, even if it wasn't Christine. It is definitely a favorite now. :)

Leah (lepolk) | 3478 comments Mod
So true (view spoiler). Although, there was one thing I didn't get. Maybe I just missed it, but how did anyone think that they were going to take down the Phantom? I mean, he's a PHANTOM...you can't kill him or anything!!

message 26: by Evan (new)

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments I just googled Scotland's national animal, as I was up there last week doing D of E. I'm now dead, my limbs are so sore. But we got to camp out on the edge of Loch Ness. It was beautiful, we made a fire out of driftwood. It was amazing. The Loch was violent in the evening with waves and wind. But in the morning, about six (we had to leave early, nine hours in a minibus is absolute boredom) I went to the waters edge just to say goodbye and the lake was still, it was so serene and tranquil, although my body was aching it all just vanished as I looked out at the amazing Loch. Anyway so I googled Scotland's national animal and it turns out to be a unicorn. Pretty cool. Sadly didn't see Nessy.

Some of the things they say in games is odd, and sometimes funny.

One of the oddest I've found is in Oblivion. Where one of the alchemy merchants asks, "By the way... do you happen to know what the fine is here in Cyrodiil for necrophilia?" Its quite odd. One of the speech options after this is "is it the first offense?" to which she replies "lets assume no".

Yeah I have. I started with Skyrim amd enjoyed it. Played it soo much. But then I made my P.C and got oblivion and I played it and the quests and the story are better. I also prefer it.

message 30: by Som (new)

Som Hey H99, congrats! Very well deserved mod stature;
Here's to 'not banning me'! (:

message 31: by Evan (new)

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments I have a history text book my school gave. Me about the Cold War. It s so old it is older than me. 17 yrs. it is so old Russia is still the USSR. The last line in the book is "what does the future hold for communism. It's from The 1890s. It is also a little racist saying Asia had a bamboo curtain instead of an iron one!

message 32: by Som (new)

Som Lia you could write a review like..."It's a garbage read. Boring as hell, couldn't finish, not my thing, nada, wasted my time; go seek the review someplace else! Appreciate my honesty!" lol

message 33: by Evan (new)

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments You could do as Som says. But do it a little more friendly.

message 34: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I agree with both H99 and Som. If the book's okay and you don't want to be mean, soften it a little. But if it's just THAT bad, speak your mind.

I don't review most of the books I do read just because everything I could think of saying had been said before me in other reviews.

message 35: by Som (new)

Som Yeah be polite, not that it comes without any options; (and ignore the nitpicking) was just suggesting to be honest about your review! Jeez!
Write a review on what you've read, may include the points those became obstructions of finishing the book...(all that being said share the book and your review if possible). All the best! (:

Tonight's the night; of many nights! So excited I'll get to watch the best episode of the best TV show of the planet, ever!!! woooohhhooooooo

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2301451/ ...a perfect score! woot! o_O

message 36: by Som (new)

Som Lia wrote: "Ooh, Breaking Bad! I've been meaning to watch that! I think I'll go on a marathon once the semester ends. Enjoy the show! :)"

One won't simply believe the amount of goosebumps I had; lost count of breaths and gasps. Grabbed a bowl of munchies, a gallon beverages, chocolate bars etc before watching; this episode made me forget they even existed. Then straight to bed! *BAMM* ..like that! o_o

Perfection, officially world's #1 show aside... entertainment wise, it's the best gift from the TV to this generation....'nuff said!

message 37: by Evan (new)

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments Avas yee landlubbers its speak like a pirate day!!!! I'd like too see all posts in pirate.

message 38: by Som (new)

Som Last two episodes are going to be 75 minutes long, each! woohoo!

(view spoiler)

message 39: by Som (new)

Som Hehe cheers Lia; see me transform to the full-fan-form: It got the best drama series Emmy after setting a Guinness WR of being so awesome; you'll find its fans everywhere. Their creativity is inexhaustible but sadly the end is nigh. 'Breaking Bad' belongs to our generation ((of dodgy bieberish pop music, kardashian honey booboo Lil wayne BS)) ...so we be proud!(:

I'll watch its Pilot episode tonight..looks good.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2364582/

And this...looks dope! (Remember the Irving-Burton-Depp treat!?)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2647544/

message 40: by Som (new)

Som I get 0$ of that list...different currency here! :p

Lia, the characters are worth studying..especially Walter White; when you get to the final season, it's better if you re-watch few episodes of the first....

message 41: by Evan (new)

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments Ooh I just finished the first season as well. All my friends have watched them all and keep on saying things like that. They also keep saying how there is now a hole in their life.

message 42: by Flora (new)

Flora (shipitlikefedex) oKAY.

message 43: by Som (new)

Som Lia; be very careful of spoilers! They ruined one of the seasons; if you're downloading them from torrents then try to avoid the comments, just do a hash check and they are usually a/v=10/10s! This one is very sensitive of spoilers ...

I got 20 out of 20, and I'm kind of shocked. Just look at the eyes though. In a real smile, the skin around the eyes will wrinkle. In a fake smile, only the mouth moves and the eyes stay in a stare, unaffected.

Som I'll circle that link and will try to donate some. Thanks Lia.

message 49: by Som (new)

Som I know! Hopefully they'll work on some cheap water purifiers, since clean water is the main concern here. Sometimes I wish I'm Tony Stark.

Or Aquaman! I'll be Poseidon!

Here main concern is mostly flood, after we got hit by that cyclone, it rained like kookoo...we were like 'wtf dis shieee! aren't we already broke!'
