Has anyone read this? Did you like it or hate it? Who is your favorite character? Do you like the dual POVs? Are you excited that they are making a movie or upset that they might mess it up? How about that ending for Prodigy, thoughts? What did you like about the books? What didn't you like? Talk all things Legend series here! So excited for Champion, any predictions?

I read Legend and it was alright, but I sort of wished the girl had stayed at Drake. I think I should read Prodigy, is it worth it?

Yes! Prodigy is even better than Legend. There is much more action and great stuff happens. :)

I really like the two POVs in this book because you can see what both characters both think about the same situation. June and Day are so alike, yet so different and you see their different thought processes and such. It's really interesting having the two different perspectives.

I've finished both and eh Tessa is kinda annoying like, get over your crush lol June + day = cuteness
Prodigy was kinda annoying for me bc they were distant and stuff
But they're good books :)

I liked Prodigy better because there was more action. Kind of like I did with Insurgent. In both series, the relationships struggle, people die, and these main characters have to learn to trust each other!!

Ya I know right! Im almost done with prodigy and I love it!! I got about 100 pages left. Im hoping to finish it tonight but if not, defiantly tomorrow.

I want June and Anden to be together too! Marie Lu said in an interview that Champion is the most romantic and dramatic of the series and that not all the characters have happy endings. And quite a few characters die...

I really like Anden, too! BUT, I DO NOT like Tess AT ALL!! I wouldn't mind one bit if June and Anden ended up together, but I'm dead against Tess and Day :( And, I do think June and Day are probably meant to be together anyway (despite his recent behavior (view spoiler)["dumping her for her own good"--a tactic I LOATHE in books!! (hide spoiler)])--unless he dies or something...

IKR?! Why do male characters always do that?! To save the pain of later they cause the pain now...

I think I'm gonna be proper upset when I Champion cos June & Day will end up together even though I loathe them together. I really, really love Anden with June.
I'm gonna be heartbroken if June ends up with Day, like completely gutted.

I read Marie Lu's interview transcript and it seems that Champion has a lot of deaths, most romantic, most dramatic of the books, and she says some fans aren't going to like the ending because not everyone gets a HEA. Lu likes the classics and incorporates some of those aspects into her books; a lot of classics don't end well for all characters.

And the transcript said that this book goes outside of the Republic as in it has more to do with worldly affairs, not just what's happening in the Republic. I feel that Day and June are too famous and infamous for each other. I truly hope and think that June and Anden are going to end up together. Day (view spoiler)[ doesn't have much longer to live anyway (hide spoiler)]. The ultimate dramatic ending would be if Day died right after the government fixed itself and everything was right again.

Also, June and Day did not spend much time at all together overall! Didn't Legend and Prodigy take place in a matter of a few days/weeks at most?! I heard Champion is supposed to start up several months after the end of Prodigy. Maybe June will have spent all that time with Anden and realize her little insta-love thing with Day was nothing compared to a time-tested relationship with Anden--that he's the one she truly loves! My fingers are crossed for this type of scenario ;) If Day (view spoiler)[really does die and doesn't get some miracle reprieve (hide spoiler)], it could very well go this way, but I'd rather have June actually (view spoiler)[choose Anden than settle for him by default because Day is dead (hide spoiler)]!

Agreed. & Yeah in Prodigy she says she & Day have only known each other for a month.

& She has to make the choice, to actively pick Anden because she loves him more than she does Day. Cos I really think that she & Anden could be the real thing.

Yes! Choose Anden!! I agree with everything you say Carie. Champion would be so much better if Day died. The perfect ending for the perfect rebel. He truly would be the Champion. They spent their whole relationship dodging bullets and running from the Republic!

a BIG giant prediction that I have is that you know how the previous elector(Anden's father) had an assistant (Anden's mother) and they fell in love,got married and had a baby, in prodigy Anden asks June to be his assistant and she basically agrees after a lot of thought I basically said that HISTORY is repeating itself with June and Anden. :)

Yeah! I love confirmation of Anden & June :D I have this huge grin right now!!! I really wonder what's gonna happen with the country though.

When I read Prodigy & that one scene where they show that in the Colonies you have to Pay the police for them to help you out?? I was like so shocked! But I have such faith in Anden & that he's a great leader.

Day and June broke up! OMG I hated that. I so don't want June to end up with Anden. I seriously hope someone finds a cure for Day.

I think that Day is going to die. I read an interview with Marie Lu and it says that there are some deaths and that not every character comes out well and gets his/her happy ending. And if Day died, he would be the best martyr. I know that Lu likes the dramatic.... There's no telling what she will and won't do!

Day better not die! I think I might actually cry over that death. Never have I ever read I book where a main character dies. Sooo many fans would be mad if Day dies.

I borrowed it, and I got to the part where they were talking about all the x's on the doors and the bad ppl checking every house, and a little farther before I put it down. I must have done something wrong because it was wayyyyy confusing to me, I might try again it might be clearer with aa fresh head.
