Bridget | 30 comments Currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm off to a slow start with just 5/100 complete, but I'm excited anyway.

message 3: by Janet (new)

Janet (goodreadscomjanetj) | 46 comments That is how I started but now I have completed 42 on the list with The Three Musketeers to be added today. It is a most enjoyable journey.

message 4: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments So I lost my copy of To Kill a Mockingbird so over this weekend I read The Great Gatsby. Can't say that it will make my favorite list. Since Mockingbird is still missing I am starting Life of Pi.

message 5: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just finished Life of Pi and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed every bit of it. Now on to The Chronicles of Narnia. 7/100 I feel like I'm making good progress.

message 6: by Bridget (last edited Aug 29, 2013 03:15AM) (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Taking a break in the middle of the Chronicles of Narnia. I need to read something else so I am starting Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I'll come back and finish the Chronicles later. 8/10

message 7: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Finally finished Anna Karenina and I have to be honest it was complete torture. So glad to be moving on to something else. I am starting Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov. 9/100

message 8: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Lolita was great. Such an incredible change of pace from Anna Karenina. I am reading another book from the Chronicles of Narnia and I will have to pick up another book from the list soon. 10/100

message 9: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments After a long break from the list and after reading many other great books, I'm back to it. I am starting Middlemarch by George Elliot today.

message 10: by Bridget (last edited Mar 31, 2014 04:18PM) (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Finally finished Middlemarch. It was a great book with a wonderful, in depth cast of characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it but wow was that a long, weighty book. I will be starting 1984 later today. 11/100

message 11: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Finished 1984 this morning. Definitely a book that everyone should read at least once, if not more. I will be starting Of Mice and Men this evening. 12/100

message 12: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just finished Of Mice and Men. Winnie the Pooh is next. 13/100

message 13: by Bridget (last edited Apr 05, 2014 09:57AM) (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Winnie the Pooh was adorable. I had a lot of fun reading it with my youngest. Starting Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I don't know why getting through the Chronicles of Narnia has taken me so long but it's time to get back to it. 14/100

message 14: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Finally finished the Chronicles of Narnia. I distracted myself with too many other books in the middle of it to do me any good. I will be starting Pride and Prejudice later tonight. 15/100

message 15: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments LOVE, Love, love Pride and Prejudice. I hope that I enjoy the rest of Jane Austen's books as much. For now I am turning my attention to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings! 16/100

message 16: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Done with The Hobbit. It was a wonderful read and to be honest I had been dreading reading anything to do with The Lord of the Rings. They get so much hype and throw the movies on top of it all and I didn't think I would enjoy it. So different from the movie that it was like reading a different book. On to the trilogy. (17/100)

message 17: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just finished Fellowship of the Rings. I am really enjoying this series, I should have read it years ago. The depth of characters is incredible. It makes you fall in love with them without forcing it down your throat. I can't wait to dig deeper as I start The Two Towers.

message 18: by Janet (new)

Janet (goodreadscomjanetj) | 46 comments I just finished The Return of the King. I agree with all your comments. I, too, wonder why I did not read it before.

message 19: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just started reading The Time Traveler's Wife. So far I have to say that I'm in love. I wish I could just sit and read it. Unfortunately, life keeps pulling me away. I may have to hide in my room tomorrow!

message 20: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just finished The Time Traveler's Wife. I truly enjoyed it. The only problem I had with it was it felt like it was set in the wrong time period. The characters and events didn't feel as modern as they were supposed to be. Oh well, it didn't bother me too much. On to the His Dark Materials series. 18/100

message 21: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Just finished His Dark Materials Series. The first book was by far the best but I enjoyed most of the series. Makes me a little sad that I only get to mark off one book from the list when I really read three. This list kind of works out to A LOT more than 100. Oh well, I just bought a stack of books from this list at the used book store so the next book is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. 19/100

message 22: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Thoroughly enjoyed The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Now time to finish the Lord of the Rings Series. 20/100

message 23: by Bridget (last edited May 11, 2015 12:52PM) (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Lord of the Rings Series is finally done. Starting Birdsong. 21/100

message 24: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Birdsong was a beautiful, amazing, incredible, wonderful book. I will be reading that one again and I rarely do that. I will be starting Wuthering Heights tomorrow morning. 22/100

message 25: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments For a book that makes you dislike all of the characters, Wuthering Heights actually had a very satisfying ending. For a change of pace Bridget Jones's Diary is next. 23/100

message 26: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Thoroughly enjoyed Bridget Jones's Diary, on to Wind in the Willows. 24/100

message 27: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Still occasionally reading a page or two of Wind in the Willows but loved reading To Kill a Mockingbird. Will be starting The Catcher in the Rye tomorrow. 25/100

message 28: by Bridget (new)

Bridget | 30 comments Finished Wind in the Willows and Anne of Green Gables. 27/100

message 29: by Bridget (new)
