Betsy, could we post a list of books that have been runners up in our monthly book club reads? Sometimes I forget to go back to the last discussion to see what I was interested in last month.

Would this be something others would be interested in?

I try to add all books nominated to our bookshelves, but that won't tell you when they were nominated.

You can always go look at previous polls; they are not deleted or archived for a long time. Click on the "Polls" link at the main group menu at the top right of most group pages. The starred book is the one you voted for.

If you're looking for the books you nominated, you can go back and look at prior nominations threads. Under the Book Club folder for that year.

How does the group bookshelf work? Can anyone add a book they think is good? I see that there are a great many there.

Anyone can add a book, but please don't code it as read and do not include any read dates. The "read" category is only for books that the group as read as a monthly selection. Also, we reserve the right to delete any book that we feel does not meet the group criteria.

Also, if you are an author, please do not try adding your books. I'm likely to delete them, even if they otherwise qualify.
