I have. I've done 4 of my own. Got a grand total of 2 reviews out of 25 books given away. So in future, I'll do 2-5 books, for a one week period, ending on an off day, like the 23rd or something. Most of my entries were on the first and the last day, and when I did one that ended on the 1st or 15th, it got buried.
They are best to build up the number of folks who have it on their TBR list.
You can be sure that if I win, I will do a review!

If I remember correctly, the info indicated that an average of 60% of the winners will do a review. Two out of 25 isn't even close. Mine is for a month and I didn't know it could be shorter. I may change it. Did your sales increase afterwards?
Not that I could tell. It was pretty disappointing on that front. But I did notice each of my books suddenly got on the Amazon Marketplace as 'new' after I shipped them to the winners. That makes me think some folks enter just so they can sell them.
Sorry, feels like I'm being a Debbie Downer, but it just didn't seem that effective for the expense.
Of course, it could just be my books. Who knows. :-/
(There's a lot of competition in the romance genre.)
I will be anxious to hear how you do.
I do recommend scrolling through the giveaways, to see what draws your eye. It also helps to have as many genres and subgenres tagged as you can, because those are less crowded than the big bucket that all the giveaways get lumped into. Choose your tags from the existing ones, because those will sort closer to the top of the genre list than if you create your own tag.
Like Fezzik says before they storm the castle: "I hope we win." ;-)

Hi Everyone - Today is the last day my book, CONTINUANCE, is free. Give yourself a Valentine's Day read and download it for free. It's got a bit of romance, it's got LOTS of history and a nice "whodunnit" all rolled into one. The book alternates between dual time periods - 1905 New York City and present day - and is two separate stories connected by the century-old remains discovered in a pirate's tunnel in modern-day Savannah during an FBI search for a kidnapped seven-year-old child. If you liked the alternating time periods in Tess Gerritsen's THE BONE GARDEN, you'll like CONTINUANCE.

Jana Lane was America’s most famous child star until she was attacked on the studio lot at eighteen years old. Now she’s a thirty-eight-year-old beauty and mother of two living in a mansion in picturesque Hudson Valley, New York. Jana’s flashbacks from her past turn into murder attempts in her present. Forced to summon up the lost courage she had as a child, Jana visits the California movie studio she once called home. This sends her on a whirlwind of visits with former and current movie studio personnel. It also leads to a romance with the son of her old producer – Rocco Cavoto – the devilishly handsome filmmaker who is planning Jana’s comeback both professionally and personally. Can Jana uncover a web of secrets about everyone she loves, including the person who destroyed her past and threatens to snuff out her future?
