C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I can't believe how well you're getting on. :) Are there shortcuts to adding HTML code to text in Goodreads or are you typing out the HTML strings? I can do that if there isn't a tool.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Okay. What I need to know is where that is?

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Thank you. Does that just give a link to the book or author, or may I insert the URL for my review (at Amazon.ca)?

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) I list myself as 'C' on Goodreads for privacy but within groups, I'm very happy to share that I am Carolyn. :) Yes, Goodreads takes URLS. My inquiry is because I want a typed title to link my URLs. Christine says we don't need to type HTML strings. Thanks to you both, Dawn for popping in with that 'hard earned knowleddge'! Everyone couldn't know basic HTML (I learned from Myspace) but without guidance, couldn't fathom where to look for the shortcut menu.

Or maybe I thought people were linking reviews all this time but it was merely to the Goodreads page on that book. We can search the title easily. Worse is book covers showing up. More rural people are stuck with dial-up than one would think until I went couhtry! Getting a page full of pictures to load drags, so I breathe easily when I see text & text URL html only. hehehehe

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Can't say I would read so much royal history, educational as it would be. Despite bulky material, look at how quickly you reached 100! Congratulations and how accomplished it must feel, Christine!

Then too, studious-looking works could turn out more adventurous and what may appear like fluff can be complex. The cover of my present Phyllis A. Whitney, 1961 "Blue Fire" emulates cheesy romatic suspense. I'm learning a great deal about South Africa - the Cape Town landscape and its politics of the day. One really must open the pages to see a novel's worth.
