I finished Bronze Gods by Ann & Andres Aguirre today:
.
It's a steampunk murder mystery (with a hint of fantasy) set in a fantasy city with some aspects of a promised future romance.
I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you like intelligent steampunk aimed at adult readers, I'd recommend this book!

So I finished off a few this weekend.
Most notably, Elysian Fields by Suzanne Johnson:
This is the third book in a series, but it has quickly become one of my favourite urban fantasy series! ^^
I just wish book 4 were available now now now!

I just finished
Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick and I really enjoyed it, though It wasn't as good as the two books before. I didn't like the fact (view spoiler) .
If you want a simple book series and also short series as it's only 4 books and completed then I would deffo recommend the first book which is

I'm having a finishing off day today.
I finished Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher
which is a pretty cool sci-fi romance, and Reckless by Amanda Quick
for the monthly read.
Hopefully I'll finish off a third one this evening!

It was great to see the places I read about in the Olive Farm Trilogy come to life with pictures. The book is a quick, fun read.

"I am sorry to say that I have given this as much energy and time as I can, but I still can't get into the storyline. I have no idea the characters are like the way they are. Not sure where the story is going with a prolific serial killer not doing much as it is and why the police officer is just sat in a pub moaning.
Oh well, I do love Stuart MacBride's books. But I really couldn't get my head and teeth into this Sci-fi style book".

I loved it! Didn't think I would at first, but 50 pages into it I was already in love with the story and characters. Ended up devouring it. Would definitely recommend it :)

Also The Lord Is My Shepherd

And Prior Bad Acts

That looks really good. I have added it to my TBR list.

It was really good and her 2nd book FACELESS: A MYSTERY is meant to be good as well x

Hey Kat, a bit late but you could try The Restorer by Amanda Stevens. It's thriller, not mystery, but it has an underlying romance! (Mind, this doesn't come to a head until book 3).
I read Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters earlier this year. It's got mystery, humour, and a touch of romance (no "intimate" scenes, though. It's clean).
Julie James is good romantic fun as well. Try Something About You.
It's not mystery, but I also highly recommend The UnTied Kingdom by Kate Johnson. (She writes mystery/romance as well, but I've not read that series). The UnTied Kingdom is a fabulous read! Jeshu, Tara, and Emma all read and loved it, too! ^^

I finally finished Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza. I really wanted to love the book - the premise is so cool! It started out so good, but the second half was a let down. :(

Heat Wave - Nikki Heat series Book #1.
I a big fan of the castle series on television. I was curious about the book and grabbed the book immediately.
Book is an average thriller read. If you are a fan of the series than you will not enjoy the book. You keep drawing parallels between caskett and nikki heat and jamie rook. Moreover you try to serach for the reel- screen chemistry between book chracters. Plus you also try to draw parallels between the cases caskett have solved and the incidents in the book plot.
Go for it minus the series expectations.
