Empty Mansions
question
Here are the covers for Empty Mansions. What do you think?
Mr. Dedman, it was actually this picture on the book cover of the opulently adorned Clark Mansion that made me bought it on Amazon without knowing the actual premise of your book, only upon reading the word recluse brought back memories of the secluded Satis House of Ms. Havisham in Great Expectations.
Perhaps, my impromptu act was more an answer to my natural inclination to give in to the desire of my curiosity to know more about the story behind this grand structure of the gilded past. It was just a pity that upon reading a few pages of your book that this building had been torn down, for all its worth, to give way to the incessant changing face of the City of New York.

I loved this book!!! I am always curious about old, very rich families and this was definately a great story.I highly recommend it to anyone.
I'd recently read about the book somewhere and it was the photo of the mansion on the cover that made me recognize it at the library.
