Question #129: List-Mania

Yup, the 1001 Books... list: that's me. The past few years, I've tried to read one book from the list per month, but I've sort of put that on hold for this year.
There are other lists I'd like to conquer one day, like the Modern Library Top 100, but I figure I only have the brain capacity to tackle one list at a time. So once I'm done with the 1001 Books list (and I'm only reading the books that sound interesting to me, so I don't plan on reading all 1001 [or 1026, or whatever the combined total is up to nowadays] books), I can move on to other lists :)

hehe...That one's on my to-do list, as well. But now that I know there's a group on Goodreads.... Argh! Darn you, Kathy! :)

Oh, geez, if I tried to read *every* book on all those lists.... I'd be exhausted! Like Naomi, I'm using the lists as suggestions. I read 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, made a list of all the books from it that I'd want to read, and have been tackling that sub-list. Which is what I'll be doing with the 1001 Children's Books, too :)
Here's a question for everyone to discuss: Are you making your way through a "best of" or "top 100" list? If so, what is the list? (I know some of our group members are making their way through the 1001 books to read before you die list so definitely include that one here!)
My confession: I'm a list-maniac. I am actually trying to make my way through four different "top 100" lists. They are:
The BBC Top 100 Big Read (2003
The Modern Library Top 100 of the 20th Century (Board's List and Reader's List)
The Radcliffe Rival List
The BBC list is the one I've read the most from (32/100) and it's probably my favorite list of the four. The other thing I like about the BBC list is that it's not just restricted to the 20th century.
How about you? Making your way through any particular "best" or "top 100" lists?
