It took me a while to get into this book but once it all started to come together, I couldn't put it down. Small town politics was never so interesting until Rowling got hold of it. Great wordplay and a "slap you with a brick" ending! Give this book a good chance (until about 200 pages in) before you put. It down, you won't regret it.
