Are you reading anything interesting at the moment?

Good to meet you all.

Great book! He has a couple others that are good too, including "In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day"

Which one are you reading Rachel?

Just started "Forsaken Dreams."

I recommend books by the Thoenes called AD Chronicles for Biblical fiction. I also recommend Lynn Austin's " Chronicles of the Kings."

I finished that one about a month ago, then read the 2nd book. Now have to wait for July for the third book. Hoping my memory can put it all together after that long! I've never been disappointed with MaryLu's writing. Enjoy!

Vanessa, not sure what you mean by Biblical fiction. I read mostly Christian themed historical fiction. Short Straw Bride was good and on Amazons Inspired Reads list today.

One of my favorite Christian historical fiction books is The Swan House by Elizabeth Musser. If you liked The Help, you will love this book!
I just downloaded a lot of free Ebooks this week. I love reading! ;-)

Everyone, thanks for the suggestions!"
Okay, thanks! Like stories about Ruth, David etc... Haven't tried any of those yet. Worried my brain might try to confuse actual scriptures....;)

AD Chronicles is done in Bible times. I'm currently on six. Five and six occur around the time of Christs birth. Lynn Austin's series I mentioned takes place in the OT Kings. I also read one called Mikhal...about David's wife....I'll have to find the author. Ben-Hur is a good one also, but it is considered a classic.

Thanks for the new recommendations; I'll check them out. I like Biblical Fiction a bit edgy, not shying away from the supernatural elements described in the Bible--for example when Gideon saw the angelic forces fighting overhead. Cool!

I recommend Liz Curtis Higgs. I've read two different series based on the Bible. I would start with Thorn in my Heart. Her books are AMAZING!!!

I believe it's the story of Job.

Thanks for posting! I just downloaded it for free!!

Hope you enjoy it! :) I downloaded it as well...but have several in my TBR list that have to come first.

what? as busy as you are, you Must add Brock and Bodie Thoene's books to your author list. they have, and continue, to write some wonderful stories. The Zion Chronicles, for example.
