Please add any books that you would like to read this fall. Books must have a biological theme and may be nonfiction or fiction.

That's awesome Amanda! I recently finished my M.S. in wildlife biology and I work as a consultant bat biologist. My interests are pretty broad in the biology area, but I do tend to gravitate towards wildlife disease, ecology, and natural history. I haven't been able to find a group that isn't very broad or very specialized, so I figured I'd start my own biology book discussion! I'm glad you joined the group!

Bill | 13 comments I came into this group to find people talking about & reading books I might not necessarily read on my own. Most of the books Meg and Amanda have suggested I have heard about and am interested in reading, especially Dark Banquet, The Panic Virus, and The Poisoner's Handbook.

My suggestions are all books I'm interested in reading, but haven't yet read:
The Diversity of Life
The World Is Blue: How Our Fate and the Ocean's Are One
Sex, Drugs, and Sea Slime: The Oceans' Oddest Creatures and Why They Matter
Spillover: Animal Infections and the Next Human Pandemic

Elliott Garber (elliottgarber) | 10 comments Bill, I loved Quammen's Spillover as well, and highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't gotten to check it out yet!
