What are you reading right now?

I just finished with Brisingr and am about to start Nightstar
At the present, I'm not reading anything.
Did anyone like Brisingr? I'm not a fan of the Inheritance Cycle, but I think Brisingr is the worst book in the series. It seemed to drag so much until it was rushed at the end.

I agree with you it dragged a LOT! But altogether it was ok

Hey is fablehaven really nice heard a lot about it

Fabehaven's really good, and neither have I.

Annalisa, the Percy Jackson series, is an EXCELLENT AWESOME series. You'll want her to read them over and over again, and let her form her own opinions on Luke/Kronos. Don't give ANYTHING away before you start, just tell her that there are 12 major greek gods.
I havn't read the Percy Jackson books either. I might try though, since everyone seems to like them so much.
Well, I'm reading LotR over now. I've read them way too many times to count - the last time I read them over was in January. I really need to start reading new books, but I don't really feel like it. The last two fantasy books I read recently were Graceling and Eon: Dragoneye Reborn. They didn't really hold my interest.

Yeah, it's AWESOME!

I read them too and they are soooooo good! they are almost as good as Harry Potter! (I still like Harry better :))

I'm reading Servant of the Bones and The Deathly Hallows at the mo'.

My favorite quote is "OUt of the fryingpan and into the fire":D

And I just saw a pretty cool new review of the book CC on this site:

I'm reading the 9th Pendragon book, although I can't seem to get through it...those books are pretty good though.
*Twitchs* L-L-Lord of the R-Rings? B-best M-movie EVER!!!!!!!!!! :)
They're wonderful movies, but not nearly as good as the books. I don't like the Inhertitance Cycle because it drags and is too similar to the Lord of the Rings - in a bad way.
Well I loved them. :) But we all have our opinions...

Were you talking to Olivia or to me about the Inheritance Cycle?
Were you talking to Olivia or to me about the Inheritance Cycle?
Yeah, I can if you want me too, although it'd probably be easier to just google it...haha. :)
If you think the summaries are long and boring, I sure hope you don't feel that way about the books, which sadly many people do :)
I could tell you, if you want...
The Lord of the Rings takes place in Middle Earth, which is a world populated by Elves, Men, Dwarves, and Hobbits, among others. Hobbits are a little people, peaceful, and man-like, though only half the height of a man, Hobbits live in a land called the Shire.
Eleven Smiths in Middle Earth forged rings of power in ancient times, but the Dark Lord Sauron created the One Ring, the most powerful of them all to rule all else. His ring is lost, but comes to a Hobbit by chance and is then passed down to the Hobbit's cousin Frodo. The story tells of the quest of the Fellowship of the Ring - the Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin; Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a man of Gondor, Gandalf a wizard, and a ranger whose true name is Aragorn - to destroy the One Ring by casting it into the fires of Mount Doom.

Wow! That was an awesome short summary! Good job, Pandy! :)
Lol. Yeah. If I love the books, like I love The Lord of the Rings, I could go on and on about them forever, without knowing when to stop.
Haha same here. And I would never get bored either.
What is interesting about the Lord of the Rings is that I tried several times to read the books and just never really got into them...the many characters confused me and I just couldn't wrap my mind around them. Then, I watched the movies and I was intrigued. I decided to try to read the books one more time and found them very enjoyable. This time, I could picture the characters in my head so it made it easier to keep them straight - even with the added bits of the books. I wonder if people will find the Harry Potter series the same way (watch the movies first and then fall in love with the books).
I hate it when you read a book, and then go see the movie, and then you're really dissapointed beause the movie didn't live up to the book. I hate it when that happens!
I agree Olivia, but it helps me if a I read about the film a lot before going to see it. I used to be a purist - even some of the changes in the LotR movies used to bother me, but now I understand the changes better and enjoy most adaptations more.
See, now I never read Eragon and I really liked the movie, but everyone who read it said it was horrible
I started reading the book, and it just wasn't very interesting
I've read all the books in the Inheritance Cycle that are out so far, but I don't think they're that good.

I absolutely loved Percy Jackson and the Olympians! It's fantastic! Luke was my favorite character, and I get in constant debates with my neighbor about his character.
Right now, I'm reading Gone. It's the first part of a series where everyone 15 and older just disappears. Poof. I'm only a few pages in, but apparently the kids start getting powers later on. It's really intersting.
