Changed my mind - will have to be a shorter book for me this month so I've just downloaded Death in Venice and Other Tales

I was thinking maybe that one too - would like to read The Magic Mountain but it might be a bit too big!

The Magic Mountain is the only T Mann book I've read - I loved it - but you're right it's a bit on the hefty side and you keep having to stop reading and think - definitely a 3 month-er.
By the way - if you have a kindle - you can get Death in Venice for £2.99 in a nice Vintage version (just downloaded it)
