I loved this book. It was so cute and adorably romantic. Prince Maxon is the epitome of amazingness. He's sweet, kind, handsome, thoughtful, and much more... I like America's feistiness. She goes against the flow and speak her mind. She's confident, and she would be a great leader. Let's hope that she gets her priorities straight in The One and fights for Maxon...

Although there does seem to be some drama surrounding the author and her agent, I loved this series,much more than I thought I initially would. Maxmerica <3

I think that there was trolling over a negative review and her agent called that reviewer a bitch on twitter.

I want America to be with Maxon, is there a conjoining name for them yet?

I guess it's Maxmerica, I don't like Aspen I think he's a jerk. I also can't wait for The One to come out, I think that's gonna be good, I've already read The Elite, btw.

Yeah, I wonder what Aspen and America's would be called, Asperica? Like asparagus but you stop at -agus and add -ica instead. Not that I would want Asperica, I'm totally for Maxmerica. I'm pretty sure the majority of the fans are for Maxmerica, so I'm hoping America chooses Maxon, but I can't be sure...

We all know that America is going to come to her senses and choose Maxon. If America isn't with Maxon and if they don't make changes to Illéa, it would totally ruin everything that this series is building towards and I will not view this series the same way.

If she ended up with Aspen then the only thing this whole series would have changed is their rankings in society. They'd be right back where they started in the beginning.

I think America ending up with Maxon is tied to her growth as a person and the advancement of the story. I think I'll always be a bit disappointed with this series because I feel like the entirety of the selection process should have been one book, or two at the most. I feel like that should be resolved by now. I wish we would get more of seeing what changes Maxon and America will inspire in Illea once this competition is over.

Same! I agree with everything you just said !! I won't view this book in the same regard if we don't see America and Maxon make changes to Illea.

IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! But I'm sad because I haven't been able to read The Elite yet :( my library doesn't have it and my parents said I have to wait until Christma....

I started freaking out when I saw this cover ^^ (Yes it's legit). I was freaking out because I'VE BEEN to that place! The castle behind it is a chateau in the Loire Valley of France. It's called Chambord and I went there and now it's the cover of THE GUARD!!

Now that's some bright cover.

TEAM MAXON!! Apparently there is a Team Aspen!! I saw at least ten people on a discussion thread for The Elite saying that they were Team Aspen. How is that possible? I thought that Team Aspen didn't exist!

Read it! It's so cute and romantic :) There are some flaws tho...

You should definitely read it, I can assure you that you're gonna get really annoyed at some parts but you'll still love it.

Nice! I really like the premise and plot of these books. They are just so infuriating sometimes tho! The Elite is perfect for the first few chapters.
