Loki is far more complex and interesting, and that does it for me EVERY TIME!!!!

Oooh, yeah, I'm liking me sum Loki, too!!! He is suprisingly anti-hero-ish and naughty in a kinda hot way. I can't wait to see the movie. And I like a man with a wicked sense of humor. That is the total package for me. ;)

message 8: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Squeeee! I know! Nov. 8th cannot come soon enough. Confession time: I even started a Thor 2 Loki-centric fanfic. Though I haven't updated lately since I'm so focused on my originals.

*ducks head* Yes. I write fanfic. LOL!

Psst... mod. Thread warning is misspelled. ;o) But good idea. Wouldn't want any guys wandering in here by mistake.

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Mwhahahahaha! Loki and Thor are here to do our bidding! I shall write them into new and insane situations! (But no Thorloki. Ewww ...)

message 13: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Did you hear about the spoiler at San Diego comic con that isn't shown in the above official trailer? About Thor's hand?

message 14: by E.B. (new)

E.B. Brown (ebbrown) | 320 comments No ?!!!! Spoiler?!

message 15: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments You want me to say or no? I haven't seen the footage, only heard about it.

message 16: by E.B. (new)

E.B. Brown (ebbrown) | 320 comments Say it. I can take it...I think

message 17: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Lucky u to siting here at Starbucks... Lori chops off THOR'S hand he calls his hammer.

message 18: by Howard (new)

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Geeze, easy to see from these girly posts that Thor was also the god of fertility.

I suppose this new version doesn't mention his dressing in drag.

Well, it is fiction I guess, but given the sweetness dripping from these posts I'd say this version of Thor is in danger of succumbing to diabetes rather than bad guys.

Just saying.

message 19: by E.B. (new)

E.B. Brown (ebbrown) | 320 comments Fertility, hmmm??? Well, ah. Uhm.

Oh, wow. Not his hand. Not his HAMMER hand. I don't know if I can watch it now.

But I suppose if he still has one hand, he'll be okay. Not happy about this, though. Might not watch if that is true. Ugh.

message 20: by E.B. (new)

E.B. Brown (ebbrown) | 320 comments Can he call his hammer to a bloody stump? I might watch that.

message 21: by E.B. (new)

message 22: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Delish!!! I know I'm torn. I love that Loki will likely be messing with Thor, and yet how it all plays out... who knows??

Like I said, I only read about it from people who saw the trailer at comic-con. Apparently they cut that part out from the full release.

As I've been reading The Many-Coloured Land, I've been picturing Stein as Thor. Maybe that's why he's my favorite character ...

There are definitely some similarities with Stein deciding to cross over into the past decked out as a Viking with Viking weaponry. Viking ... Viking God. Oh, geez. Don't tell me that the secret of the entire Pliocene Saga series is that Stein ends up being Thor.

message 24: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments I haven't read that, so I can't say. But your deductions are logical.

I did get a kick out of the Viking attire. I'm on a Viking kick lately anyways... ;)

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Yawn on this girly thread; I prefer Viking women, strong & often redheaded.

The heroes in my Epic Fables are all readheaded women so check out these Viking chicks, but only if you can stand 6 minutes of culture.

The tune is famous, the set innovative & the music builds as the singers join in after starting as a solo, then a duo, etc.

Let's see your guy Vikings beat this, the whimps:

If you girly girls aren't whimps as well then turn it up.

message 27: by Bill (new)

Bill Cleary | 66 comments Wow, I was wrong! I had pictured Viking women back then as having beards.

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Bill, dude - duh, what History books have you been reading?

For HUNDREDS of YEARS Vikings stole ONLY the best-looking women, the rest they butchered, along with the monks who didn't resist.

Have you EVER seen a less than beautiful Danish woman?

I rest my case.

Lots of redheads too, as I said, always a good thing.

message 30: by Bill (new)

Bill Cleary | 66 comments Maybe it was harry legs. Loosen up, Howard, I was kidding.

message 31: by Howard (new)

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Bill 'was kidding'

So was I, that's why I wrote the girly girl the post.

And lots of women, not just Danes have hairy legs, no problem for me.

Maybe you should loosen up, I'm there & it's a fine place to be.

Alright you two, this is becoming like the "tej & Randy" show. Out of this girl's dormitory, both of you.

Sorry girls, the boys are just leaving.

Wait...is that, is that Loki gagged up in the corner??...ok, I dont wanna know.

message 33: by Nigel (new)

Nigel Mitchell When you say you love Thor, are you specifically talking about the movie version? I hear a lot of women saying that, and it kind of throws me, having been a fan of Thor for 30+ years in the comics.

message 34: by Jacqueline (last edited Aug 27, 2013 01:17PM) (new)

Jacqueline Patricks (jacquelinepatricks) | 112 comments Well, I know I love the movie version of Loki. Besides being drop dead gorgeous, he's just so wonderfully dark and complex! Just like I like my fictional characters!

While I was into some comics as a kid, I never read Thor.

I'm equal opportunity. I salivate over movie Thor, but I am equally as enthralled by mythological Thor. I'm a Viking mythology buff in my spare time.

True that. Vikings had a way with the women, for sure. If not, they lopped off their heads. It could go either way, I suppose.

message 39: by Fletcher (new)

Fletcher Best (fletcherbest) | 12 comments Why exactly is this a girly thread? Haven't we reached a point in human evolution where a man, heterosexual or otherwise, can appreciate the beauty of Thor and/or Loki? While neither can hold a candle to me of course, I am secure enough in my sexuality to admit that they are both very, very pretty. I'm more into the Viking women myself, but that takes nothing away from Thor and Loki.

Yep, I added the girly bit as a mod warning and it still stands! Yes Thor and Loki are pretty...but do you see what these crazy girls are doing with my super heroes arggghh...! And you do not want to see what E.Bs got chained and gagged up in the corner...
