Roland Nuñez | 4 comments Hey all!

I work at a university as a Director of Student Development and I'm thinking of starting a college-themed blog. It would be a resource for both high school and college students on things college students should (and want to) know.

Some of the ideas I have planned for my blog are:

- tips on choosing the right college
- interviews with college administrators from different colleges around the country
- interviews with college students with do's/dont's type of topics
- resources for time management, stress management, study habits, finding employment, resume building, etc.
- general higher education topics of interest in the current media
- some sort of "top 10 mistakes college students make" series
- my own personal insights and experiences regarding college life
- making the best out of your dorm
- featured college of the week segment

Anyways, I'm looking for more ideas. What type of stuff would you be interested in reading if you came across a blog about college? What would you find most helpful? Most interesting?

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments -A way to access the ratings of various programs for different Universities. Such as their math program. Or more specific programs, depending on what a student wanted to go into
- Resources for student counseling or tips, my college is great but I'm graduating about a year later than I should have because they have a poor counseling program.
- Websites/companies/business that help students. Such as student discounts, or those that look to specially hire students.
-Saving money on textbooks. Maybe link up several different sites for renting or trading textbooks, as well as those that will buy them back.
-Different types of students. Not everyone moves away and into a dorm.
- Tips for balancing your schedule. Taking the types of classes you need, WHEN you need them. Not overloading yourself or the opposite, not challenging yourself enough.
- Include information for ratemyprofessor.com it's been extremely helpful to me in my 6 years of school.

Roland Nuñez | 4 comments It's been a while, but things have finally settled down enough for me to start on the blog.

Here is the blog. It has two posts at the moment but I'll be adding to it daily for the next two weeks before I decide on an updating schedule I can stick with.

Feel free to give me your feedback and suggestions. And if you'd like, subscribe to the blog or follow it on facebook.
I took your suggestions into consideration, Kimberly, and will be including some of those in my future posts.
