Cruel and Unusual discussion.

Ok I know that a lot of people have read more than the first four books in this series. In every single book is she going to be under attack? This recurring theme is frustrating me. It's a good plot theme every once in a while but for me it is getting old very quickly. It's actually causing me to not enjoy the book because it just makes it feel uncomfortable. I would love to hear others thoughts on this.

I am also not fond of how she always treats Lucy as a child. She is a genius. And Kay is always brushing her off. In the meantime Lucy knows exactly what's going on. Kay just seems to shut everyone out. It's quite sad.
