TRIVIA ABOUT BOOKS (in general)

Today, 8/13/13, while listening to the Writer's Almanac on the radio, I learned the following interesting fact about books:

"For a long time, people in England called printed books 'Caxtons' ".
This was due to the fact that William Caxton was the first man ever to print a book in English.
Caxton was born in Kent, England in 1422.

A PLAY ON WORDS IN THE TITLE OF A BOOK:

BOOK TITLE: Life of Pi

There's a restaurant in Westport NY called : "Life is Pie".

YES! ... YUM! :)

That is clever. Speaking of "Pi..." it seems to me you liked it and it did have some supernatural or fantasy or magic or whatever and I especially didn't like the ending. Like you with Chocolate, I guess it was too weird for me.

Yes, Nina, I liked Life of Pi, both the book and the movie. The story could be taken literally or as a metaphor, an allegory. That's where the fantasy comes in. Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
