Looking for Alaska question

Absolutely not. Their entire relationship was so vague and one-sided that the idea of actual love between them barely even crossed my mind. It's so obvious by the way everyone talks about Alaska that that's just how she is, flirty and mysterious, and Pudge was probably just one of many boys that she decided to intrigue for fun. She wasn't a bad person for it, but she never had real intentions of being with him. Pudge was most certainly convinced that she did, though, which is why the book makes it seem like she may.

Honestly , I think Alaska was troubled. I have zero qualification for saying this, but honestly, it seems like she had some kind of mood disorder , or was maybe bipolar. She just seemed to be either really happy , or really sad. She also had a not so nice past, which also affected her. I don't know, can she be held completely responsible for all her actions?? Not completely convinced. So maybe she did mean it, in some way. I don't know , i'm rambling

I just think she really was a ''player''. She knew guys found her pretty so she enjoyed and used them to her advantage. Not that it's very evil because I get that it's something that a lot of guys and girls do, but it's just killed any sympathy I might've had for her.

I wasn't particularly sad when she died... I couldn't get attached to that character. Even Pudge was hard to like for me.

I think she was messing around with him. It was mentioned earlier in the novel that she'd cheated on boyfriends before.

I strongly believe no, she just did it for fun, she was using him, well miles thought that maybe she loved him but i don't think that she did in that way. Ok, she enjoyed company with miles but there is no way they would do anything because they love each other. Alaska just wants to have fun and miles thinks he has found the perfect girl, while he completely ignores her bad personality and never calls her out about that .

Yea she was SOOOOOOO in love with him, that's why she waited until he finally got a girlfriend to tell him to kiss her.

She enjoyed being worshipped and adored... there might have been a small fling, but I cannot imagine it ever going anywhere- alike to a 6th grade relationship that lasts a week, at most.

The relationship between alaska and pudge was mostly one-sided. He obviously had a thing for her and found every single thing, even the imperfections, beautiful. She would always crack comments like “you’re adorable” but I don’t think she ever meant it in a romantic way. She never told Jake about the makeout session, and it might’ve just been a dare to her.

I feel like she used pudge in a way. When everyone else was home during break, she knew he was vulnerable for her, and asked him to stay, which of course he obeyed. She always talked about the deal of him helping her escape the labrynth and she would help him get laid. Although he had gotten laid by Lara, maybe the intense makeout session was sort of a hint of help for that. Then she “escaped the labrynth” a couple hours later. I’m thinking that that could’ve been her thank you to him.

Well the answer is “ Yes” he wanted to continue with pudge . To the people who are calling Alaska - using miles , cheating on jake etc I want to say few things to you , from the starting Alaska liked pudge she complimented him, enjoyed his company and the only reason she was with jake because she doesn’t want jake to think that she forget him when she found a new guy , we can see this when Jake told miles that Alaska talk about him so much and he feels that miles might end up with Alaska . Well you might ask then why he hadn’t break up with Jake ? Well the answer is Alaska was not the girl who can hurt someone ,secondly she was also fighting her own battle and even pudge being coward ( even though I understand miles situation) didn’t tell his feeling to her like in the adaptation of the book( Hulu series ) . The night Alaska and miles kiss it was a genuine kiss and then while talking to jake she felt guilty for cheating him , it doesn’t mean the kiss between Alaska and pudge was not genuine. She was just a beautiful girl struggling between the choices and whoneeded someone who can help her to untangle some of her things . ( at last I want to say - I LOVE YOU ALASKA YOUNG)...

Unlike a lot of people that commented, i believe that Alaska would have eventual gotten together with Pudge. Throughout the book i could sorta feel like she had feelings for pudge wanted him to make the first move. She has obviously cheated on her boyfriends before but like she said"i always f*** up" so i think that she woud've broken up with Jake and then gotten with Pudge. i feel like she didn't want to break up with Jake but loved pudge and didn't want to admit it. that why she dared him, so it just seemed like a dare.

I don't think she would have been with Pudge. I think she enjoyed being worshipped and that's why her best friends were guys. Her female relationships were just to serve the guys (get them laid).

No, I really don't. Alaska was a very, very, very complicated person. But who knows what she really would have done? She hid herself under all of those layers, so deep I doubt she would even recognize herself if all those layers were peeled away. No one really knows Alaska. Maybe she did have feelings for Pudge, but they were under those layers, and therefore unreachable.

shes delirious. she could of, would of, might of, but she didnt. and in the end, she just seem like a character, to me, someone who just do things.

I think that she would have continued with him that night. But, no. I do not think that she would have continued a relationship with him. I doubt she would even have to tell her boyfriend and suspect it wasn't the first time she cheated on him. Although I adore her as a character I do not think that she always made the best decisions in that aspect of her life. She has a very big heart though.

I think that although Alaska's character in the book was made out to be a sort of heartbreaker to boys as it was mentioned she cheated a lot I think there is something more to her than that. I don't know if I think that pudge and her would of got together but in some ways I wish they would have but I honestly don't know what to make of it!

both in the series and the book one can tell that Alaska had feelings for Miles. It was very obvoius. She was very weird and flirty and mysterious with him SINCE THE BEGINING!!! They way she talks and acts when Pudge was with Lara just tells it all. But just having feelings for each other doesnt mean that it will end good. I mean it was crystal clear that Pudge had fellings for her. However, all that doesnt mean that they wpuld end up together or that she would realy "continue" things with him....
